full disclosure I am white so keep that in mind lol but yeah. my friends and I were talking last night about this like I ASSURE you that pete wentz has deeply complex and complicated feelings about rave and how he does or does not fit into forced black/white racial dichotomies that the US is obsessed with. And that's not for you to have for him or assume what he feels or put on him. but so many of these people don't want to actually have a conversation about colorism and code switching and actual shit so they need to shut up about ""white passing"" because it is a DEEPLY complex issue. plus it's always the people who want to bully people in the scene for having any trace of non-white features that want to use "they pass as white" as a get out of racism free card like... girl
