She flashes him a smile before she pulls out her phone to send an ‘all systems go’ text to everyone who’d helped, to let them know they could move forward with the final touches. “Thanks, but I can’t take all the credit,” she replies. “Bekah was a big help. The lights were absolutely crucial to the concept and we’re lucky she kept them after the wedding. Not to mention, we wouldn’t have anything to eat except sweets without George and Laura.” Her smile grows. “I hope Ronnie loves it.”
This party was something fancy, but then again that was precisely why he’d asked Alice. He wasn’t nearly creative enough to put something like this together. He was sure Ronnie was going to lose her mind when she arrived back home.
As she mentions Rebekah helping, he stiffens but keeps a neutral expression. He hadn’t wanted any vampires involved but here they were. Adrian had to remind himself to play nice and not offend the party planner. “Right, well… good.” He retorts, trying to keep it civil. “Tell her thank you.” A pause before adding, “Ronnie’ll love it. She’s never had a party before, and this just blows it out of the water. I’m sure she’ll have a blast.”
