I'm going to post a couple of more surprising images tonight. Apart from our gorgeous vintage jewellery,homewares and accessories Jessabellas has a lot more to offer. We have a section in our shop called tribal treasures that are exactly that! So much vintage loveliness in this native Papua and New Guinea doll. She is approximately 60 yrs old and should probably be in a museum. Made of raw untreated black rubber her texture is very special. She's fully jointed and even has closing sleeping eyes when she lies down. But oh the details in her traditional dress! 😍Her headdress is plant fibre billum weaving as are her armbands and leg bands. Native trade money shells adorn her bark waistband and billum headdress. Even her hair is real. She has won our hearts with her little cheeky toothy grin. 😊💕✨💗 photographed and awaiting listing.
