Oh, that would be back in World War II about a year after I was sunk with Angel in an American submarine. I spent most of the rest of the war on one battlefield or another. Feasted on the blood of one soldier or another, stealin’ the proper papers as I went along. Headed back to the states around October where I spent a night at Carnegie Hall to see Florence Foster Jenkins give an Opera recital. Woman had no sense of rhythm… but didn’t keep her from trying to sing her heart out. Those were good times.
