Soundwave agreed to have a training match with Astrotrain only after the Shuttles several attempts at persuading him. Frankly, he did not like fighting the Triplechanger. Not only because of Overlord but because he did not feel comfortable with having to attack him.
To Soundwave, Astrotrain always had been a mech he would have rather kept from battle. But nervertheless, he was a Decepticon. Or at least he claimed to be. If Soundwave got that right.
Improving the Trains skills certainly could not hurt.
Before they began, he made clear that in this fight neither of them are supposed to show mercy. Everything was allowed. And he would try to attack his weakspots, should Astrotain not cover them successfully.
Surprisingly the Shuttle was more durable than he always claimed to be. It was then that Soundwave saw an opening in the Trains defenses.
Swiftly, he launched at his opponent while blocking the incoming blasts with his arms, only to smash aft-forward into the Trains front, bringing the much larger mech down.
Pointing his blaster at Astrotrains chest, he claimed that this battle had been won. By him.
Only after his enemy did not answer his victorious exclamation did Soundwave notice that in fact the Trains venting systems had stopped..or blocked by his aft still parked onto the Triplechangers faceplates, digits twitching every few clicks as he lay there stiff as a plate.
Well, he told you that he was going to attack your weakspots and it seems you lost~
