Oh well, it's Carnival Time And everybody's havin' fun. I hardly ever go to parades and for 15 years and counting I always take a trip and miss the hustle and bustle of traffic and people in the city. People ask me why? Swipe left and you will see images from Mardi Gras 1983 (mind you I was born in 1979). That’s mean since I was born I have been attending parades. Our spot was originally on Tchoupitoulas as my Uncle William @billdance2.0 and his wife owned a house right on the parade route. My Uncle Boonie would park his tow truck and we would grill and parade all season long. Years later we then relocated to Jackson and St. Charles and that is still to the location where my family meets for Mardi Gras to this day. My fathers and husbands side of the family spots are Melpomene and St. Charles. So we would walk up and down the street from Jasmin to Melpomene countless time on Fat Tuesday. That is 42 years of parading, I’m tired 😂. But this year, I will be right in the mix with a new spot, Josephine and St. Charles!
