Drabble for Perry: The Insane Adventures of Perry and Mari
We've been talking, and our perfect life would be to live in a house with Benedict Cumberbatch, Andrew Scott, and David Tennant. Martin Freeman would come round for holidays, and Billie Piper would drop by frequently.
This is based on what I think the house would be like:
"So whatcha makin'?"
Mari looked up from her cutting board to see David leaning on the counter, eating one of the carrots she had peeled. She swatted at his hand.
"Get out that's for dinner."
He jumped out of her reach, grinning like a fool. "Ooo you're cute when you're angry."
Mari put a hand on her hip, holding the knife in her other hand. "Don't test me, charming."
She returned to cutting, resigning to let David continue to munch on the carrots on the counter. Perry came home from work, dropping her keys on the counter with a sigh.
"Long day?" David asked, mouth full.
"Mmm, yeah. What's for dinner?"
"Nothing if this pig doesn't stay out of here." Mari said, hitting his arm.
"Ouch! That hurt!"
"Out!"
"What's going on now?"
Benedict ambled down the hall, hands in pockets, his socks slipping on the hardwood slightly. He leaned on the back of Perry's chair, musing up her hair. Perry swatted at him.
"Stop it!"
"Aw, but your hair is so fun!"
"Better than mine?" David called from the kitchen, torturing Mari by eating more of the raw carrots.
"No one's is better than yours."
David winked at Benedict, causing both of them to grin. Mari bumped David with her hip, knocking him off the counter.
"Ow! You're so violent!" He complained, regaining his balance.
"You've never complained before." Mari said curtly. "Touch my carrots again, I swear."
David got up and mumbled something to her, causing her to push him again, laughing. Benedict dropped his hands to Perry's shoulders, squeezing them lightly.
"How was work, then?"
"Fine. Boring. You know," Perry sighed.
"Benedict, do you know if Andrew is coming home for dinner then?"
"Nope, he's working tonight I think."
"Oh, and Billie is coming over."
"Ooo, you always get so flustered around her." David poked Mari again. He just had so much fun annoying her.
Mari turned pink, punching him right in the arm. "No dinner for you, then, thanks."
David scoffed, rubbing his arm. "Oi, I was only joking."
Benedict smiled. "No sex for you David."
Mari turned a darker shade of red. "No sex for anyone if they don't shut up and let me cook, damnit."
Perry was giggling on the sofa. "'Cept Billie."
"Cept Billie." Mari nodded, finally laughing.
"Do you need help then?" Benedict asked, hands still on Perry's shoulders, rubbing them gently.
"No, I'm fine. If this idiot stops eating and helps me I should have everything done by eight."
David murmured something else in Mari's ear, which earned him a quick kiss on the cheek and a kick to the shin.
"Oh, Benedict, mate, something came in the mail for you. Catch."
David chucked a package at the man from the kitchen counter. Perry squealed, ducking out of the way. His aim was shit. Benedict nearly fell over her chair as he leaned to catch it.
"Don't do that!" Perry squeaked, hiding her face with her hands.
"Sorry bout that."
