Finally, all of the exams were over and it was time to put all of this work and training into action. Being a member of Konoha's ANBU was more than a privilege to Uchiha Sasuke and for him to be accepted so young was yet another achievement he hoped his father could see and be proud of, wherever he was. He was told to be seen in the Hokage's office first thing in the morning following the introduction ceremonies. Now that he was appropriately dressed in his new uniform, still having the folded in creases visible, he headed for Tsunade-sama's office. He had his cloak draped over his shoulders and did his best to ignore the pain caused by the fabric grazing his fresh tattoo. He wondered who else he would see in her office. If it was for just a congratulations, there would surely be many new members. But, if for a mission, which Sasuke would have preferred, his mind wandered about, going through all who were accepted. Naruto nor Sakura hadn't even tried to train for an ANBU position so the result for his team mate would be someone new. His stomach flipped in his stomach as the nervousness began to set in. He had been in S-ranked missions before, yes, but even still, they were not up to par with an ANBU mission.
Once he reached the door leading to the Hokage's room, he sighed away any last minute jitters and entered the room. He seemed to be the only one in the room beside Tsunade-sama and her assistant. After closing the door behind him, the Uchiha approached her desk then bowed at his waist slightly, "Hokage-sama."
"Oh good, you got here first." She replied. First? More are coming? "I realize it is so soon after your acceptance into the ANBU, Sasuke, but you are in special need for a mission but I will not delve deeper into the details until your partner arrives."
Yes! A mission! Inwardly he rejoiced but still remained like a breathing statue before the Hokage. It wasn't too long before there was a knock st the door. Tsunade beckoned the visitor to enter. Coal orbs watched anxiously as his partner stepped into the room.
