He stared at her for a second, slightly confused what he had come home to. Despite the break in he couldn’t find it in him to be angry at her. “Well, it would have been nice if you left a warning, I’m not used to guests,” he said as he closed the door behind him. “Do you want some tea, or coffee? You seem like you’ll need something warm. Oh, I could make soup,” he said as he turned on the heater to warm up the rather cold apartment, then he moved over to the fridge to see what he could do. “I have some medicine too, for that cough of yours.” The last thing he wanted was for her to make him sick, so right now he didn’t want to move too close to her.
