💙: how has the idea changed between starting it and where it is now? 💜: where are you in the writing process?

thanks for the ask! Because Helena is so new (still doesn’t even have a title!) nothing much has changed, so I’ll answer this for Castle of Ghosts instead!

💜- Castle of Ghosts is on hold right now as I try and sort various plot things and life issues out. I got really busy and Castle of Ghosts is kind of complicated plot-wise, so I didn’t feel like it was the sort of thing where I could do an odd half an hour here and there and that would be okay. Helena is a lot simpler! Before I put it on hold, though, Castle of Ghosts was two thirds of the way through its first draft.

💙- Castle of Ghosts has changed so much! A lot of the changes are actually really really spoilery, though, so I’ll just give you a quick few. A few of my favourite characters who arrive in the second book are new (ish) additions, and whilst originally Reika ended up with a character who I’ve now ditched, I planned to set her up with Cayden Sallow, a pirate-ish vigilante-ish prince-ish character before I decided he was better with his best friend instead. So now Reika’s love interest is Mirin Yancey, a guard who was pretty important in the first version of the story, then I got rid of her because she didn’t fit, but now she’s back. Yay!

Sorry for that long winded explanation, and sorry if it didn’t make sense! As always, feel free to DM me if you want more info on either of my wips or if you just want to shout about yours.

Jon - his hacking ability comes from his love of words and numbers

Aither - her hacking ability comes from enjoying a good challenge 

Jon & Aither - they often pick apart each others weak points to improve their skills, but they will also team up together in order to deal with any other hacker, particularly those who hack to harm people.

1. Do you listen to music when you write? Sometimes. Mostly atmospheric music, preferably with no lyrics. I sometimes also listen to ASMR while writing.

20. How many WIPs and story ideas do you have? Too many to count and deal with? Right now, my “main” WiPs are PS and Alda’s story, but I haven’t written for the latter in years! As for ideas...Right now, it’s every single PS Aus I can think off, and some fanfics.

29. Favourite villain I’m really found of Mélicée! Sweet-tongued Magician with an hidden agenda and a the longest hair you can imagine! Rumour has it people get lost in it!

33. Have you ever killed a main character? Of old age, yes. I consider killing off Drinian every now and then, for the drama, but I haven’t done it yet.

38. Weirdest story idea you’ve ever had Maybe all the very cliché ones I thought of as a kid and teen? None strikes me as super weird right now…(Some of the AUs are wild, sometimes, though…)

46. Do you reread your own stories? I do! I have some scenes that are really dear to me, and I often reread them before sleep, or when I need to remind myself that I can write good words.

Dungeons and Dragons meme, your choice of characters for Bard, Cleric, Rogue

I’ll answer each with the first three to come to mind!

Bard: Can your character recall a time that music has had a special power over them? What was this song, where did they hear it, and did it affect them positively, negatively, or neutrally?

Amalia - oh yes, it’s part of why I fell in love with dancing! The beautiful music that goes with all the dancing. 

Asyuta - music calls to me, it always has, I am pretty sure it always will. Thankfully I can now explore that without being disowned or ridiculed. 

Sparks - The Freshmen by The Verve Pipe, it strikes a cord with me, though I can’t put into words why. 

Cleric:What does your character place their faith in - a deity, universal energy, themselves, the government, etc.?

Isaak - I’ve recently started gravitating towards pagan beliefs, but I also put my belief, my faith, in Uncle Isha and Aunt Aither, those two seem like they can do anything. 

Nyura - my Uncle Akaal, as he is the most supportive man I know. I hope that if I have soulmates they’re like him. 

Karl - I believe there is a god, I just don’t know that they are God. I pray and keep trying to connect to one of the religions common to my family.

Rogue:What does your character hide from - the law enforcement, their friends, their family, themselves, their secrets, etc.?

Ioanna - *sighs softly* commitment. I run and hide from it to the best of my ability because it is terrifying. 

Tereza - my biological ‘family’. They are avoided at all costs, thankfully my new family understands and supports that. 

Andrei - does my voice count? I don’t like how it feels, I much prefer my hands and how that voice feels. Yes I make certain noises when speaking in sign language, but I don’t like to be vocal with full words.
