Ah, I can't remember where I found mine sorry. I've used CS3 and CS6 and to be honest, there is very little different, especially with things as simple as making gifs. I'll let you know if I find one. I found a really good trick where you dowloaded the trial and then edited some coding and tricked it into thinking you had a serial code but I can't remember where I found it..
Ugh that would be so amazing. If you find anything I would definitely love to know! Until then I'll just keep toiling away in the dark recesses of the Internet searching for a solution :)
There are free downloads of photoshop, it just takes a bit of time to find them and it can be risky. I assume you've done the free trial? You get a month on that which is a good start.
I haven't done a free trial, mostly because I don't want to spend a month learning on a different/newer version of Photoshop than what I'll be able to find to download. I found a download for CS5 which worked, but I need a serial number. I found some that worked, but when I tried to use them it wouldn't let me select my language as English
So basically everything is a big mess right now and all because I wanna make some gif sets haha

Yeah, but it's not so bad! When I land it'll feel like 5am to me because of timezone differences, and I'll have been flying for over ten hours, so I'll be grateful for the immediate bed and quiet room :) Means I won't be all grouchy with my family
Just thought I'd let you know that I agree. Bandaid is a major thing for someone to be asked to do and if the YouTube community is being accepted into it, which is amazing, someone whose main focus is music should be the first choice.
