Founder of HELPSY, Rachel Kibbe, is calling out The Business of Fashion's new series #BoFVoices which aims to open up a conversation about problems in the fashion industry. The campaign calls attention to the lack of coverage for other ethical fashion business owners and activists dedicated to this cause. Missing from the #BoFVoices discussion is the issue of the elitism that panders to certain designers while omitting those who are devoting their entire businesses to ethical issues and solutions. Kibbe states, "How is the consumer to know the alternatives and solutions that exist when they aren't mentioned in the journalism that aims to uncover these issues?"
HELPSY has started an Instagram and Twitter campaign asking ethical fashion activists and businesses to tag #ItsNotJustStella and #BoFVoices & to explain what THEY are doing in their businesses and lives to creating a more ethical fashion industry. Follow the tag to discover new designers and solutions for the fashion industry.
