Fallon was still getting used to how things were done at this shop, how they operated without detection and so far he was enjoying it all, he was doing well, or so it seemed. He was looking for some parts in a bin when he heard someone come into the shop “hey, what can I help you with?” he greeted before looking over towards the garage door entrance to look at who just came in.
Shopping had always been one of Carmen's favorite past times. Even if she didn't buy anything she just loved fashion. Getting to see what people liked, what was new or what she could use to start a new trend. So whenever she had free time she loved to explore stores in the city all from the high end stores to local boutiques. She found herself at the latter, trying on some jackets and sweaters.
She sighed after she took a second to admire herself in a mirror. "You know it is so tough to look good in everything." Carmen thought out loud, not even realizing someone was near her. "If only I didn't need to bundle up for this terribly cold weather."
Chess was locking up the bar for a lunch break, the place wasn’t exactly poppin midday on a tuesday so he could get away with it. He made his way across the street to this little deli he enjoyed grabbing french onion soup, he basically lived off of it.
Unfortunately the place was so small there was no tables and he sat on the curb outside the building, watching the cars whizz past as he ate his soup. He wasn’t paying much attention when a car drove by too fast in a puddle and completely drenched him, but worse, ruining his soup. “Oh what the fuck!” he groaned and angerly tossed his soup on the sidewalk “my fucking soup! asshole!” he cursed at the car that was long gone.
Welcome to the Empire City, [ARTEMIS ADAMS]. We hope you are finding everything okay because we know that this city can be difficult to explore. We heard that you are a/an [THIRTY-FIVE] year old who is a/an [ARCHIVIST AT AMERICAN MUSUEM OF NATURAL HISTORY] and identifies as [SHE/HER], is that true? If so it totally makes sense since people would associate [WHEN WE WERE YOUNG BY ADELE] with you. You’ve been here since [THIRTY-FIVE YEARS] and nobody has told you that you look exactly like [CRYSTAL REED]?!
Being born and raised in a city that never sleeps was perfect for a girl who enjoyed just observing the world around her. While she may spend most of her time with her nose in a book she is far from the stereotypical bookworm. She is intelligent, quick-witted and quite sarcastic when she wants to be. Artemis can be quiet when you first meet her but that is only so she can get a read on a person before completely opening herself up. Her walls are built up quite high and she is proud of it, she feels as if it protects herself and the people she cares about. No matter who comes into her life, once they are close, they will always come first.
She kept to herself all throughout school and even found her passion, history. Loving to go to libraries, museums and watching any documentary she could. She was fascinated by the domino effect of life and history gave her that. After years of observing she wanted to know more how history can change and how it can lead people to make the decisions they do today. She wanted to take the chance to tell the stories and help people make better choices. So it wasn't a surprise when she started volunteering to work in libraries and museums. Even studying history and minoring in anthropology and archival science. Then took the extra step to get a masters in library science.
Although while making her dream and passions come true she also took a chance to have more fun in life. It has brought her through quite a few ups and downs but she has learned that as much as she loves to observe she needs to experience it too. After finally coming to realize that she found more things turned to her favor. Finally getting the job as an archivist at American Museum of Natural History. Although as the years of gone on and she has continued to be promotion she find herself getting stuck in the box again of just observing. Deep down hoping she can break back out again and live.
Aleksei was always on the hunt for the next best business opportunity, so when the chance to own the club Sapphire, he jumped at it, knowing he already did a bunch of business through the club he figured it would make sense.
After a work meeting with his staff he placed himself on one of the sofa’s with a bottle of expensive whiskey, sipping at it as he watched the room, figuring out everyone’s dynamic.
Looking over he noticed someone else and decided to spark up a conversation “are you a regular?” he inquired.
