Choose a character(s) you want to use for the prompt each week
Choose how you want to respond to the prompt:
A list of headcanons OR a piece of writing OR a piece of art (you may do up to all 3 if you wish, we are just giving people a range of options to maximise participation)
Rules:
Quality is important but we want to encourage participation as much as possible. Please try to reach a word count of a minimum of 500 for words for written prompts, at least a short list for headcanons. Art does not have to be coloured or have clean lineart but the more effort the better!
Prompts are released every other week on saturdays in the tumblr blog and discord server
Tag the blog in your entries to have them shared
NSFW is allowed but it will not be reblogged by the blog and will have to be posted strictly in the NSFW channel in the server
You do not have to complete every single prompt
OCs are only allowed for the following prompts: 23rd October, 18th december (as canon x OC)
Take your favourite character(s) and think about what elements of their life could haven been like pre-canon. Examples: What was their childhood like? What are their family members like? What is their happiest memory? What is their worst fear? What events could have lead them to their canon path? That’s up to you to decide
23rd October - Pick a Cryptid, Any Cryptid
It’s one of the things the show is known for. Create something related to a cryptid that features in the secret saturdays universe. This could be drawing or writing them in action or even brainstorming ideas about their behaviours/habitat/lore etc. Good or evil, major or minor character, it doesn’t matter as long as the cryptid is related to TSS somehow.
6th November - It’s a Fashion Statement
We were largely robbed of the opportunity to see our favourite TSS characters outside of their work clothes? Take a character(s) and imagine them in a different outfit. This could be something reflective of the cooler winter weather on the way, something you’ve always wanted to see them in, something from a different time period etc.
20th November - Switching it up
Change up one of the following elements of a character(s). You could: Draw/write them as a different gender or sex (remember this is not restricted to a cis/binary normative spectrum). You could: Draw/write them in the future (aged up) or in the past (aged down). Or you could take an entirely different path and Draw/write about what they would be like if they were to have gone down an entirely different career path.
4th December - Tis’ the Season
Draw or write a character(s) experiencing or participating in a holiday of your choice
18th December - The Ship has Sailed!
Draw/write something to do with a TSS couple! This could be one of the few canon ships or one of the many rarepairs out there. If you don’t ship any of the characters, you are welcome to create something based on platonic or familial love.
1st January - Happy New Year
It’s time for resolutions and looking to the future! Draw/write about some of the future plans or new years resolutions that you think a character(s) of choice would have.
Attention ya’ll! I hope the second month of the new year has been treating you well! As announced previously we will be moving onto our second event, the Art Raffle! We hope that you guys will enter and take the chance to receive some sweet, sweet art from your lovely mods: @azelforest-art-corner, @dylexa, Fiskerpen, and @ashesannihilation!
Today is the first day of the raffle, you will have until February fifteenth to enter!
The mods are willing to draw anything within reason and withhold the right to take creative liberties with said requests. The art you request does not have to be strictly TSS related! We are open to other fandoms and or content you’d like produced. The mods do, however, ask that you keep the request fairly simple in effort to return the art piece back to you in a timely manner.
How To Enter:
We will be posting the advertisement on our blog via Tumblr and Twitter, to be considered for qualification please complete the following:
1. Follow our Blog!
2. Like the post, simple right?
3. Retweet and or reblog depending on the platform.
