A place on the parade, imagine itGo on, save yourself, leave the key hereI was twenty-one years when I wrote this songWhen I was young, I'd listen to the radioThe sun disappears bringing fears that come only at night
1, 6, 13?
1. A selection of television programs you do not care for.
(It’s strange because the phrasing of this makes it sound like I should list shows that YOU don’t like but for the sake of sense…)
Sherlock is probably my most notably hated show. I don’t like Arrested Development much either, but that’s more indifference than dislike. Erm….I really don’t like the newer adaptation of Sense and Sensibility and along a similar vein I was underwhelmed by Death Come to Pemberley.
Oh and Doctor Who is a bit shit now isn’t it…
6. Something in school you really liked doing that everyone else bitched over.
Maths. It was my secret pleasure because it was fucking easy and I miss it; as an English scholar I’ve grown more accustomed to interpretation being King but I did some maths as part of a test for a job recently and loved it. I miss the simplicity of either being right or wrong!
But maths was far from the most popular lesson at school!
13. Musical artists you love but have gotten shit for liking.
I was, and remain, a Cher lover and I will never apologise for this. It’s very difficult for me not to like the woman who seems to have released an entire collection of work that could feasibly be cobbled together to make the musical version of Vera Bates’ life story.

Iris was amazing. Thank you all involved for creating it!
Your message made our day!! We are so glad that you enjoyed Iris. Thank you so much for your sweet note!
The Book Game!

Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard — they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just ones that have touched you. Tag ten friends, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them!
Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.
The Crimson Petal and the White by Michael Faber.
Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence.
Sappho Goes to Hollywood by Diana McLellan.
Death on the Nile by Agatha Christie.
Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu.
Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells.
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie by Muriel Spark.
A Room with a View by E.M. Forster.
The Book of Margery Kempe (this is the funniest shit ever)
My questions for the tagging meme I answered previously: 1. Which one sing do you think best expresses you as a person? 2. What do you think is the best invention from the last hundred years? 3. If you could be one person for the rest of your life, who would you be? 4. What do you think is your best feature? 5. What’s your favourite TV show at the moment? 6. The best thing that’s happened to you in the last week? 7. Cats or dogs or neither? 8. Would you rather be rich and have an ongoing illness or poor and have all your health? 9. Which historical figure do you detest? 10. The most overrated book?

Gods Behaving Badly sounds awesome!
Gods Behaving Badly is one of the funniest thing I've ever read. It's entirely nonsensical and possesses some of the best Greek Gods jokes I've ever encountered. Laura Carmichael was genuinely born to play their version of Artemis though. BORN!
