This set dates to the late 1920s or 1930s. It is porcelain, painted in a Kutani style and palette of colors in a well-known design called the "Thousand Faces" pattern most famously produced by Shimizu Rokunosuko. Most of this porcelain was produced in the Nagoya area, the main center for Porcelain production in early 20th century Japan. Just a little bit of useless information for you guys on my favorite set in the shop. Happy Friday. #japaneseteaset #japaneseporcelain #thousandfaces #rva #virginiaisfortealovers #carytownteas #itswatchingme (at Carytown, Richmond, Virginia)
