It's been a awhile since I saw ItteQ and it was even odder seeing Shige on it. It was an Autumn Special and he was a part of the team representing the new drama. The other actor did the festival segment with Miyagawa. That felt familiar. But the most fun part was where all the guests competed in teams of 2. One of them had to push the other tot he very edge of the giant ruler thing without falling. There were victims. Poor sensei, he already looked like he hasn't slept in days.
I didn’t post this at the time it aired but now it’s painfully relevant. Every year ItteQ does a fortune reading for the cast, each with a different fortune-teller. I’m not a big believer in such stuff and it seemed like cold reading but, at any rate, it hit hard. Tegoshi who often gets top places, placed 7th. The woman said he is reckless in spending money and he shouldn’t spend it just on drinking and partying. Otherwise, he might break social rules. Imoto asked what he should do and the woman said he needed to be sit still. To this, Tegoshi in the studio shots “You can’t stop me!”

The work was done but the worst was yet to come for Tegoshi’s balls. Turned out the staff made him participate in ice water swimming. And not just a quick dive, it was a 40m course. On the bright side, he did get to show off his ‘4 times a week’ bod, which, sad to disappoint him, kinda looked the same as his regular bod. He smiled all the way and honestly I don’t know how he does it but as he got into the tent, he looked very stressed. ItteQ really does not fuck around.

A classic ItteQ interlude - a trip to a hamam. The guys had plenty of fun in it too. As the narrator noted, it deepened their bond. Oh, yes, that sure seems like it deepens the... bond. Tegoshi got soap’d like a baby taking a bath.
