the name is park kyuhyun but his friends and family all called him kyu so often that that’s the name he went by when creating his channel
his parents are both scientists, so he grew up in an environment where he was always encouraged to be curious and ask questions and figure things out by his own methods
of course kyu’s parents were disappointed when he decided to go to school for sociology rather than a math and science based field, but they were more disappointed when he decided to drop out of college and do youtube full time after his channel began to take off
his channel is somewhat a mix between buzzfeed unsolved’s brand of crime investigation videos and general conspiracy theory discussions-- they’re well researched theories with a hint of humor and smartass energy
so his public persona is pretty straight forward and intelligent if you were to only watch his main channel videos, but his behind the scenes videos on his second channel and the shitposting on his twitter account reveal his inner crackhead
fun fact even if he sprinkles a few paranormal theories into his videos, he doesn’t believe in ghosts and he will fight you on it (aliens are a different story tho)
he’s an investigator at his core, so he doesn’t tend to immediately believe rumors but instead connect the dots and piece together the truth-- doesn’t mean he doesn’t love a bit of drama though, especially if it means someone’s getting exposed
kyu is really impulsive, he doesn’t think about the consequences of his actions before he goes through with something and most of the time he doesn’t care about the consequences unless it affects him personally oops
he can’t read people’s emotions well, so he’ll probably end up doing and saying things that are inappropriate for the situation at hand
behind the scenes he’s pretty self-destructive, he doesn’t particularly care much for his well being and prioritizes getting a kick out of something over actual self care. how is he so narcissistic but hates himself so much at the same time?? it is a mystery
not a panicked gay or a confident gay but just a straight up disaster gay-- he’s a mess but idk maybe that’s charming to some ppl

hara comes from a rather wealthy background. not too much money that it’s ridiculous, but enough that she’s never had to work a day in her life.
she’s probably heard the word ‘no’ like three times her whole life and one of the questions happened to be, ‘can i have a pet monkey?’
she comes off as extremely full of herself and all that stems from her deep-rooted insecurities caused by her mother and never being good enough for her. not thin enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, the list went on and on.
she was an alright student although most of her time was spent chasing after boys and girls. anything that would make her feel something even if that feeling was disgust. with herself, the person she was pursuing, etc.
her feelings/mood/interests change like the weather. it’s extremely difficult to keep her attention. it’s been that way for as long as she can remember.
she has never had a real relationship before. ever. every relationship she’s ever had has been clouded with ulterior motives. it’s always about what they can do for her. she’s pretty sure she’s never had deep feelings for anyone either.
