It’s been a while since we have last spoken, i know. I’ve had time to heal and recreate myself. I’ve changed and became a new person. You may not even recognize me, I’m different, I actually smile because i want to and I’m happy most of the time. I’m never sad anymore I actually want to live life and be free. You’ve held me back for so long and even though I never thought I could, I did it, I moved on. Don’t get me wrong though, a part of me will always love you but it’s time to let you go. One day you’re going to come back crawling to me and ill actually have the courage and strength to say no. You don’t define who I am anymore, you don’t control me; I am my own person. But know this I might not have you in my life now, and I might never have you in it again. I might not be the first thought that comes up to your mind when you wake up, or the last one that leaves your head once you go to sleep, but I will always remember you and I will never forget you and you will always and forever be that one stage in my life where my first love existed. And now I know that when my kids ask me who my first love was, I'm going to dig for the photo album and show them a picture of you, not their father, not the man before him, no one else but you.
