I graduated college in August 2016 and thought that I knew exactly where I was headed. Turns out I didn't. I wasn't commited and while I was doing good work, it wasn't something I could see being my forever. Fast forward a few months to when somebody posted a job opportunity and it sounded like something I could do. I reached out and talked to the owner of this company, and we set up a time to meet. I got off of work the following week and headed straight into this interview. We connected and I got the job. Let me be honest here. I was so nervous that I was terrible for the first couple months. It took me a while to train and to get on the same page and to learn what the owner was looking for, and we both have faced quite the learning curve on a lot of things. So anyways I worked both jobs for awhile and I started liking the second job a lot more than the first one which I had honestly thought was my end game... And then I was offered ANOTHER job that would be easier to do than job #1 but would allow me to do job #2 more commitedly and I could leave job #1 and still pay my bills. Perfect. I did that. That was about a year ago and I feel like it's important to say. I LOVE my job. I am doing great work. I learn a lot every day, and I WANT to do what I'm doing long term. We recently won an award and it feels so good to have some recognition. I have been so inspired to do more all of the time. At this point I randomly do my job for fun in my freetime and I'm constantly thinking of ideas and writing them down. It feels so good. I work for Hakuna Supply and I NEVER in a million years thought that I would be in the industry that I'm in but I am and I love it. My position is Creative Director but I do everything Marketing involved at this point, and it's where I belong. I intend to work alongside this team long term, but nothings ever really written in stone.
