You know what, it's been a while since I talked about my various planeswalking guys and gals from the focus group, time to see if a portion of the spreadsheet can get people to ask some questions about them. Even basic questions if you don't know them, it's good for me to to restate the facts every so often and I don't expect anyone to know them in advance.

Ivegard smiled.

“I guess so, I travelled too. Not particularly with a destination in mind, though. But I think if you wanted to be discreet, coming here wasn’t the best choice.”

She looked at the road behind the human and nodded towards it.

“My job here is done, I’m on my way out of this town. Do you want me to help you find your destination? I’m pretty sure the kithkins wouldn’t mind. Well, except maybe the children.”

Saheeli gave an embarrassed chuckle as she nodded in agreement, “Probably not. I feel you’re quite right. Perhaps I shall try going somewhere that humans are common.”

Glancing back at the road, Saheeli looked back at Ivegard and smiled, “Oh that would be greatly appreciated. I don’t quite have the sense for traveling yet.”

Her face brightened a bit more, “Ivegard! Have you ever been to Kaladesh? I would love to show you my home.”

The sight of some strange blue blobbish creatures flying overhead caught her attention, “Then again, I would love to explore your home as well.”

Something I’ve found very fun to do with my fanwalkers is giving them “reprints” of fitting, existing cards flavored around them. Some are easier to find than others, but overall it works pretty well!

Here are some from my main crew.

it is getting rather crisp in my part of the hemisphere so I wanted to ask how do Dancing-Hands, Anedia, Lhur and Ivegaurd get cozy?

Let’s start with the easy one...

Ivegard doesn’t really care about the temperature. Her own temperature is several hundred degrees (centigrade) above ambient temperatures, so a difference of a few dozens doesn’t really change a ton. She can feel it and she eats a bit more, and “colors” change a bit, but overall not much. She’s pretty great to cozy up with though, fireside comfort that can travel with you.

Alright, now, to the rest.

Dancing-Hands: After a few years up on the Ojutai mountains and his fur, he can handle some pretty cold temperatures, but he’s also great to cozy up with as his desert-born partners have learned. Those tails of his can be very warm. If he’s by himself, he’d probably be reading cuddled into his own tails not too far nor too close from a fire.

When things get cold, Anedia gets to pull out the thicker coats, and she likes those! She doesn’t really cozy up much, but sometimes she spends a bit longer in bed in the morning than she needs to, warm and comfy.

Lhur usually gets to be warm and safe in heated buildings with large fires, but he’s had to made do in the wild before, with a cloak, his magic and barely a shelter. He’s big enough that he has a lot of heat stored up (which has come in handy with other people), but if he gets cold it’ll take quite a while for him to warm back up.

Let's embrace some Planar Chaos for fanwalker Friday and timeshift some ocs! Change an important moment in your ocs past and tell use where they would be today!

Oh, I already have a few of those... We'll see for the main cast, but let me start with Szyra, since she's already an alternate Planar Chaos version of someone from our timeline. With that out of the way...

Dancing-Hands: This Black-Red version of Dancing-Hands studied fighting from an earlier age instead of his focus on Origami and kanji magic, but he was no less talented at it. He doubled down on his pride. He ended up with Kolaghans instead of Ojutais, but didn't stick long with them anyway. He's sometimes a mercenary, sometimes a bounty hunter, sometimes just someone who wants a thrill. He uses his innate telekinesis as a powerful blunt weapon, wearing special gauntlets and boots through which he can apply it to even the living things he can't directly touch with it. He's been known to tear through armors and people alike should he want to.

Arnoss: Either during a raid as an egg or the same that happened in our versions of things, this Blue-Black Arnoss was taken to be a slave to Ocaelum's merfolks. The resulting indoctrination produced the Devourer, a cold-blooded (in all senses of the word) murderer and assassin ready to carry out the will of the Shiver of Kings. His weak magic was exploited to fuel an enchantment that became part of him, making him able to move indetectable by all mundane means and most magical ones, not even displacing water or air as the fluids pass through him. His preferred way of killing is by separating head from body by biting his victims' neck, but he has other means if it isn't practical.

Icalia: Alternate Icalia was fully corrupted by Phyrexians, and became one of them as they conquered Dominaria and turned it into new Phyrexia. She's Esper-aligned, and handles an arena on what once was Otaria, where creatures from other worlds are brought through portals to fight and study the techniques of.

Ivegard: In her alternate version, her Cinder self is the dominant personality, though recently it has come to value the warmth her other half can provide. Red-Black as a base.

Nyrhen: He's still as sure of himself in other timelines, but instead of doubling down on Lorwyn elves' sense of worth based on elvish perfection, he accepted that perfection can come in as many different ways as there is people or worlds in the multiverse. He encourages and helps other grow to the best version of themselves. He's Bant-aligned.

Lhur: In this version, Lhur's father failed in his conquering endeavor, and passed his anger and hunger to his son. Lhur is a Jund-aligned Warlord, who let nothing stop him to seize what he wants, and establish himself as a ruler of his own country.

Farell: Alternate Farell was abandoned by his parents for what he was, and had to grow up and survive from a very young age by himself, having no scruple to use his shapeshifting to steal and trump. As years went by, he became a Blue-Black con-man, his acts garnering some attention but the authorities unable to determine if it was the acts of a singular person, or more.

Dolores: This version of her embraced the healing magic she learned, and flourished as a nurse first, then a doctor. She's white-red, and might not have even sparked yet.

Vaalin: DON'T. ALTER. THE. TIMELINE.

Inspired by the ask a friend sent me, do any of your ocs have an enemy, a rival, a nemesis? A person who presence just ruins their day? If so, what transpired to make them feel that way about that person?

Arnoss: Lady Seric of the Cabal, self-appointed Daughter of Belzenlok, a high-ranking cabal member operating in Orvada who has ambitions to take over the organization after the demon's demise. Powerful, very hard to kill, so far her efforts have been thwarted by Arnoss, his adoptive sister Oprena and a team of Tolarians. She's melted most of the scales of his back, he's eaten through her neck and left her as a head for a while until she made herself another body, and they dislike each other very much.

Dolores: More one-sided, but she does have thoughts for whoever decided to get rid of her on Paliano. Once she finds out who that is. They probably didn't see anything personal in it, though.

Ecxilet: More complex, and also mostly one-sided. The Cursetamer has kidnapped both his husband and him at various points, and they've tried to kill each other a bit. They have an... Agreement now, and Ecxi is staying out of her affairs.

Farell: Whoever ordered for Farell's brother to be killed will be high on Farell's short enemy list once he or his sister figures out who it is.

Ivegard: Gestures vaguely in Nyrhen's direction. She thinks he's dangerous, and knows exactly how bad elves are. She doesn't know what she can do about it though.

Lhur: His father, Tolema II. Their duel at noon in the ruins of the throne room is quite the story, and everyone knows how a triumphant Lhur ended his father's reign and life. Except Lhur himself is not so sure that last part happened.

Szyra: Phyrexia in general. But there's no phyrexians left in this timeline, right?

Regellen: Has some choice thoughts about Ugin and Azor after they incidentally trapped Regellen's beloved on Ixalan for a millenium.

Kolvis: Sedris, after he used her to steal much of the life remaining in Vithia and contributed to turn it into what Grixis is today.
