my fav self indulgent thing to do with ivensis is force my friends to do “character creation” with me and then explain their ideal playstyle to me so i can make up classes for them and then they forever exist in my imaginary world and hang out with my other imaginary people

i also had a dream last night that not only had jensen in it but it was like a weird universe fusion and i had gotten isekai’d into ivensis and that was like a normal world and not the virtual world so he was like a really different vibe but still jensen. like instead of being a nerd jock with a finance job who plays video games as a werebear monk. he was just ACTUALLY a werebear monk JDDHDBSJ

it was so interesting he kind of reminded me of h.alsin and not just because of the bear thing, self-assured and knowledgeable and attuned to nature. And ofc he was still so goofy because being so very silly is jensencore forever

i’m thinking about iris today and realizing i never told any of you that her ivensis avatar is a slimegirl JDBEJDBSJ it feels . so relevant.

in fact i have never slimeposted on this blog. i do it on my main

i am not really truly a kin person or any of the related but one of my biggest Thats Me! things is like slime characters. it’s not like a f-tish thing (its not like Horrifying to me either in that context but thats notbthe point)

it’s honestly more like a weird type of . xenogender envy/euphoria ??

i might try to explain it in another post sometime just for fun for my own sake but for the most part the important thing is just Uniformity of materials. Varying levels of opacity. Flexibility of appearance and body plan. Whatever stuff like that

ANYWAY. Iris starts the game with a halfling avatar because they have good generalized survivability in The Wilds and her preferred playstyle is wandering all over the place (me!). But there’s a faction questline that involves cleaning up a magical lab accident in an area where they were experimenting with local slime population and fucked it all up. and the questline unlocks a gated avatar race called Gelatinous Experiment.

so obviously iris becomes a slime literally immediately much to jensen’s amused disapproval, as it totally destroys her combat playstyle because all her physical perks change. (not that he can talk, he becomes a werebear later just for the vibe and it fucks up his playstyle too)

But she loves it and it helps with ruin exploration when you can unlock most simple locks with your finger or slide under doors lmfao

as some of you know, jensen & iris’ canon universe is the safgaverse which is a slice of life scifi setting. it’s pretty similar to real life except with more technology and less of the technology is openly evil and also there are “full dive” virtual reality games called immersive reality games

i’ve made up multiple games for this setting because i love litrpg and i love making up video games and i love making jensen and iris play games together that cause “real” circumstances but the MAIN game in their setting that’s relevant to them is a fantasy mmorpg called ivensis: reawakening

i wanna post more stuff about ivensis so that i can talk about their gaming and their party members and it will like. make ANY sense. but i honestly and genuinely don’t know where to start so if i have some false starts bear with me lmfao

sometimes i get so fucked up that nobody else knows anything about ivensis like what the hell. i shouldn’t have to post anything it should just be intuited somehow

anyway ignore all of that despite sv posting i actually have jensen on the brain right now. don’t get whiplash but it’s true. it’s okay both settings have video game mechanics so it’s basically the same.

but i was thinking about making character ref sheets for jensen and iris’ in game characters and their combat and roleplay builds because they are actually very in depth but i’ve never consolidated it

both jen and iris love dogs… they don’t have one irl but. i got a painted dog stuffed animal on my vacation and im so obsessed with it and now i’m thinking of giving them a companion animal in ivensis and making it a painted dog
