Thank you @myjouneywithivf for this great idea to post 4 pictures of something fun or something that made an impact on our life. We are more than our fertility struggles. I encourage you to do the #myrtlechallenge too. Photo 1- Our first picture together, taken on our second date (November, 2013). I was laughing so hard I was out of the frame a lot. It was such a fun night. It was also the night I fell in love with him. Photo 2- Just before I met my husband I was living and working in Denali National Park. Although I've lived in Alaska most of my life, it was my first experience in Denali. The hikes were amazing. Hiking and getting out in nature are some of my favorite things in life. Photo 3- Summit Lake in Hatcher Pass (Palmer, Alaska). These pictures don't do it justice. It's a bright teal colored lake high in the mountains with a beautiful valley behind it. It's only accessable a few months out of the year due to snow. I've done a decent amount of traveling and this is still hands down my favorite place in the world. Sometimes you'll see paragliders drifting down in the valley. Its a great place to have a picnic and relax, or go hiking. Photo 4- on my wedding day the officiant was running late, like really late. I was all completely dressed up about to do our beach wedding in Belize. I was told by my wedding planner, "He's just now getting on the plane and it might be over an hour before he lands." While I was waiting I took a bunch of silly pictures with Mom. This is one example of how an unexpected and potentially nerve wracking situation turned out to be a good memory. Everything about my wedding day turned out perfect in the end, other than having to wait a bit. We made the most of it.
