Summer was coming to an end and as much as Nicola wanted to keep the warmth the season brought, part of her was also looking forward to just snuggling up on the couch and watch a movie with a hot cup of tea in her hands. However, tonight Ivy and her were going to enjoy the rest of the warm weather. Admittedly, it did get chilly very quickly at this point, which was why she had brought a blanket for them to snuggle up under for the film on the rooftop where the open-air-cinema was hosted on. With Nicola being a big fan of musicals, she had been excited when she had read The Greatest Showman was going to be shown and had immediately invited Ivy to go with her. Officially they weren’t together yet, but the truth was, Nicola wanted nothing more than to be able to call Ivy her girlfriend. She knew she was falling hard for the woman, she could feel it, and she was hoping with her entire being that the horticulturist felt the same. Sitting on one of the reclining chairs, she patted the space in between her legs as she was looking up at the other woman. Sure, they had booked two seats, but all the novelist wanted was to be close to her. “Come on,” she said gently. “We can share the blanket.”
