It was that weird hour between dinner and lunch when she didn't expect anyone to be at the restaurant, but they were slammed. She'd come for an early dinner before her shift at the Full Moon, planning to eat with her dad who was too busy behind the bar to even greet his daughter when she entered. The only open table was one in the very back, where servers had set up to roll silverware. It was small, but her food came out fast. Cheese fries top with sauted veggies; an off the menu item. Lola had been a vegetarian most of her life, despite her parents owning the busiest seafood restaurant in town.
Across from a server whose name she knew but not from here. Rather, a topic in her social circle. Lola barely looked at her as she sat down. Stori's issues with Ivy were her own, but as Stori's best friend and roommate Lola certainly wasn't looking to make friends. ".... can I have one of those forks.... please.." She was too polite to be unkind, but exuded awkwardness in every syllable.
