The umbrella, when it rains - Neither of them, in all honesty they tend to forget about carrying them. Besides, it always means a bath together and cuddling to warm up again whilst drinking something hot afterwards. Especially Patrick as he always feels cold to Gilbert.

The popcorn at the cinema - Gilbert, that way he an actually eat some. He thought buying salty poporn would put Patrick off. It didn't and it upsets the precious Prussian babkin.

The baby, when it cries - It depends on who gets there first, usually it's Gilbert. He's had mre experience with young children due to his little brother and the significant age gap between them. Patrick however is the one who goes to the baby at night as sometimes he can't sleep, so it's not unusual to find Patrick curled up on the sofa, holding the baby fast asleep some morings.

The ice cream cone, when they share - Gilbert, Patrick tries to refrain from eating the whole thing though Gilbert doesn't mind due to his lack of sweet tooth. It does, however, creep Gil out when Pat bites the ice cream.

The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie - Gilbert, until he falls asleep or isn't paying attention to the remote, then Patrick steals it.

The basket, when they go shopping - Gilbert, he knows going 'no it's too heavy for you' will piss Patrick off to no end as, technically, Patrick is the stronger one of the two.

The door, on dates - Gilbert, it's a old habit. He only does it every now and again now though, though Patrick has started doing it for the other, with a teasing comment about his age thrown in too.

The other’s hand, most often - Patrick tends to when he gets nervous and anxious, or when they are travelling and in big crowds, he feels more secure holding onto someones hand and feels less lost and hopeless. 

Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day - Gilbert, not many things romance wise can leave Patrick in such a state. For all his complaining over wearing formal clothing, the red head doesn't actually look that bad in it when worn properly.

The camera, when they take pictures together - Patrick, he is a selfie whore.

The umbrella, when it rains - Garret, he never really goes anywhere without one. Patrick only really uses them when the other is there. 

The popcorn at the cinema - Patrick, Garret can't stand the stuff so Patrick usually gets the entire thing to himself.

The baby, when it cries - Patrick, he's the more capable one when it comes to parenthood having had the better childhood and more loving parents. Garret feels a little too awkward with the child and starts to become distant with them. Patrick, however helps him build a healthy and good relationship with the child however.

The ice cream cone, when they share - they have seperate cones. Garret once attempted to share but found that ice cream makes them clash over Patrick's sweet tooth and Garret's love for dairy. 

The remote, when they sit down to watch a movie - Patrick. In the redheads words, Garret has 'the shittest taste in movies in existence'.

The basket, when they go shopping - Garret. That way he can get rid of some of Patrick's junk food as they go round as he believes Patrick eats far too much of it. Arguments that Garret eats too much dairy is replied with 'at least it has calcium, what does a giant bag of skittles have?'.

The door, on dates - Garret, he believes it's the proper thing to do and shows good manners, Patrick teases him endless for it.

The other’s hand, most often - the two have never been too big on holding hands, even in the beginning. It's normally reserved for moments when Patrick feels anxious and it's usually Patrick who initiates it.

Their breath, upon seeing the other on their wedding day - Garret, mainly because he's surprised the other turned up after stating he had never wanted to marry him in the first place.

The camera, when they take pictures together - Patrick, garret may have the better arms for it as they are longer but he's terrible at pointing the camera or phone. He also feels he isn't as photogenic as the red head and so hates his picture being taken.
