A rough edit of NT Rin and Len done purely for fun. 🙇
Kagamine Rin & Len NT illustrated by iXima
What did ixima Do
nothing im just a hater
i dont like how bland and smoothed out her vocaloid designs are.
meiko and miku got the worst of it tho
her overall design remains mostly unchanged but where is her color. shes so uncomfortably pale. it doesnt look good with her hair (especially her superpack art)
ixima's mikus are the best example of this i think. she went from her bold pose and identifiable silhouette with her big ass pigtails, to getting the infamous hairloss and having her bold design choices dumbed down and simplified. superpack fixes that to some extent, but the image itself is so flat and devoid of personality.
i mean, its obviously not a problem with JUST ixima, she's just the artist being commissioned and its not really her fault. pretty much all of vocaloid has been dulled down for the corporate landscape.
im just a hater of ixima specifically because she gave miku a white shirt and thin hair and removed her chunky arm sleeves and i hate the bland artstyle
DEEP SNOW / niki feat. Hatsune Miku
Today's KAITO module of the day is:
KAITO SP by iXima!
ESP x Hatsune Miku
i'm tired of people shitting on project sekai's artstyle, because it's based off ixima's artstyle. the characters are drawn (and modeled) to look like cryptonloid box art, and it's the coolest thing ever to me lol
it's a trend carried over from project diva (you know, the game this game is a spinoff of), but in that game the artstyle is based off of KEI's, who made the v2 box art for miku, rin, len, and luka.
here's some examples
kaito sp vs kaito in project sekai
ixima's own art of the game vs a card in the game
so yeah, while they're not Exactly the same (it would be way too difficult to reproduce it constantly), the resemblance is definitely intentional, and i think we should talk about it more...
