Happy Birthday, Miku!!

I loved working on this so much! It was so so fun. I wanted to animate short clips from Miku's songs that I liked from this past Miku year (August 31st, 2024- August 31st, 2025).

Video Description: A digital animation of Hatsune Miku from different songs, with the songs playing in the background. With each song, she is wearing the outfit from the respective music video with the title of the song stylized above her. Neverland by Deco*27. She makes a slashing motion over her throat with the lightstick, her smile fading as she does so. Squigles appear around her, and she flashes between a fully colored drawing and being colored with grey with purple lineart. With or without me by PinocchioP. There are torn Cicada wings on her back. The song plays in the background. The wings flap. Her eyepatch and the shadow below her start to fade. Her wings grow colorful, and she begins to smile. DECO*27’s Monitoring. The viewer is looking through the peephole of a door to see Miku. She’s holding her phone, tilting her head, and smiling widely. The scene flashes to her in more muted tones, looking worried before flashing back to the viewer’s warped perception of her. She takes a picture, and colored blobs begin to come in from the sides of the peephole. CandyCookieChocolate by Hallo Cell. Miku raises each of her arms one at a time before raising both. After she raises both hands, the background shifts to a yellow, red, and blue spiral. Miku’s eye color changes with the color of the spiral. Confessions of a Rotten Girl by Sawtowne. She’s holding a book with a heart, and the paddle has “Sinner” engraved on it from the Music Video. She gets embarrassed, hiding the book behind her back and moving the paddle so it’s next to her.  Her 390-degree tolerance by Yoshida Yasei. She raises her hand to wave. The bunny she’s holding pushes out of her grasp and jumps up. Miku smiles, looking at the bunny. They both wave. Deep Snow by Niki. There’s a snowman of a bunny in the background. Miku raises her hand and makes a fist. She smiles as she opens it, and a snowflake appears on her open hand. Super Superhero by PinocchioP. She starts in her hero outfit from the music video. She swings her sword, and the screen shifts to her villain outfit; she swings the sword again. Her sword changes to a staff, and the background turns black. Telepathy by Deco*27. She’s holding pompoms and goes through a short, very simple cheer routine. Psycho Mode by TAK. Miku is holding a Teto doll. She looks to the side, a sad expression on her face, but brightens up when she sees the viewer. She smiles brightly and holds up a peace sign, before frowning, slowly dropping her and the Teto doll. Static by Flavor Foley. She moves side to side and raises her hands to either side of her face, smiling. Her smile turns uncomfortably wide, and her eyes widen and brighten to a bright teal as the background resembles a screen with no signal. Her smile drops. She stares, and a border similar to a monitor takes the screen. Don’t Believe in T by PinocchioP. A pendulum swings behind her, and her eyes follow it. She then tilts her head with the pendulum swings, and she smiles. Retry Now by Nakiso. She twirls her wand, frowning, and she lowers it. Her face and upper body darkens as blood appears on the wand. The screen blackens with the words “Retry now” being the only thing left on the screen in the form of a button. A cursor moves into the screen and clicks the “Retry Now” button. END DESCRIPTION
