He was the good child, his brother exiled from their home when he was still young for being a delinquent. Yuito found school easily and was naturally kind and socialable. However as he got older he struggled to find the meaning in it all. Though he kept up with his studies he withdrew socially, spending more of his time on his computer.

Here is where he first learned about Izaya, on online forums of mostly girls talking about the strange man who made his way through different communities online. Taking people in at times, or guiding them in life. He quickly became obsessed, looking to try and found out as much as he could about the man.

He did this through most of high school, honing his skills as he tried to find whatever he could. He graduated top of his class in high school, and much to his parents disappointment didn't go to college. Instead leaving right at 18 and going to try to reach out to Izaya.

He got his job by handing over the file he had made about the man. He worked hard at his job researching things for Izaya and they grew closer. He was also the one to warn Izay about the fact Yuito's brother, Ren, was also interested and unstable.

After Izaya vanished Yuito felt lost. He stayed in Ikebuekro waiting to see if he would come back.
