I never expected myself to read another manga if it weren’t for my friend. I don’t usually read sci-fi mangas but this became an exception.

This is really worth reading.

Although at first you may get confused with what’s happening, (let me give you a tip) try to remember the characters and the timeline of the story as you read each panel of every chapter. ;)

I think Netflix produced a series of this so if you’re not much into reading even with illustrations, watch it instead.

i picked up knights of sidonia again (at my parents and the only way to watch anime is through netflix) after dropping the second season for it’s giant worm harem bs and ohhh man i just really love izana

i mean they/she (nonbinary at the start to female at the end) was absolutely my favourite part of the show back in 2014 when I first watched it. i was an egg at the time so I didn’t quite understand why i loved her so much but yikes. i mean sure, the whole “your gender is dictated by your sexual preference” thing is just a classic safe way to write a trans character in japan and a little problematic but she’s so relatable now. like, the whole ‘growing boobs’ thing and ‘sexual hijinx because of her changing body’ wasn’t handled the greatest but to see a character i loved so much back in the egg days more or less feeling the growing pains of transitioning while I am is just so amazing. i guess this is what it feel like to have characters written for you? i wanted to cosplay as her waaay back because ‘lol the show was cool and the outfits are neat’ but never did because of how complex it would be to make, i think this is the year i make it happen
