There was a tightness in her chest that she couldn’t shake the moment she was given the trident. A feeling that she couldn’t shake the moment she was introduced to the king. But to see the man work, to shadow the beloved healer, it was a privilege. Even as she would come into her own gifts under expert tutelage.  But one lingering thought would always plague her mind after each healing, touching the lives of others. What was to happen when one took on too much.
