Still not in bed. Watching this IZJS XII stream.
Reaalllyy need my bed tho.
Oohhh I love FFXII! How are you playing International Zodiac Job System? Are you emulating it on PC? I would love to be able to play it!
Emulating, aye :) It’s a fairly bitchy game to emulate, but if your computer isn’t too old, it should work. I use PCSX2.

I plan to restart my recent run, which was really just a test. Still undecided about class choices.
Yeah I already have tons of ideas for different job combinations X)
IZJS!
So i’ve started my first ever playthrough of Final Fantasy XII - International Zodiac Job System.
So far I’m finding it a lot more interesting than I thought I would. The job system limits your choices, which means you need to consider every role for every character carefully. I chose jobs a bit untraditionally, wanting to mix things up a bit - also I based the jobs loosely on how I prefer playing the original game.
The best and worst choices for the first half of the game: Machinist for Fran works as long as she has a good gun, but her lack of Black Magick is no good. Her Green Magick might be good for end game/ post game though, and her access to Cure works early in the game. Same with Balthier - I chose Hunter for him thinking he would benefit from his SPD - and if he’d have access to Heavy Armour he would have been a decent tank, but he only has access to Light Armour. Should have made him Uhlan or maybe even Samurai.
A choice that’s worked out quite well though, is Vaan as Red Mage. He gains access to Cura fast, has high defense, can help out with Black Magick casting and does decent Attack damage as well. Very versatile.
The other jobs are Knight for Ashe (she can learn decent White Magick), (would choose Samurai instead but that board looked a bit dull), Archer for Basch (which is working out surprisingly well; he crits often and can tank/heal too) and Black Mage for Penelo (the obvious choice imo. And MY she does damage!)
Not sure I’ll be completing the entire game with this party, but I might as well since I’ll learn from it.
Streaming the whole thing on Twitch, by the way. (Not right now.)
FFXII: IZJS - Weak Mode Log #3
I'm loving Weak Mode. It can get frustrating, but I'm having a blast. The main story hasn't hit any big bumps yet, but I think the hunts, which I have been trying to do as early as I can, are really helping with that. Some of them give some useful rewards and even the ones that don't are still good practice, I think.
Last time, Judge Bergan was defeated at Mt. Bur-Omisace and the party decided to make their way to Archades. It's going to be a long road! Here's my progress...
