Prompt: Part 2 of the IzuNeji angst prompt (from Nejire's POV); an unconscious Nejire faintly hears sound of the paramedics trying to resuscitate her heart. When she wakes up in the hospital, she is greeted by a tearful Izuku, who listens to Nejire's heartbeat and is understandably worried about Nejire's quirk killing her

Nejire slowly opened her eyes, gradually letting them adjust to the bright lights of the hospital room. When she turned her head, her eyes gave focus to Izuku by her side, clutching her hand and holding it to his head like a prayer. Knowing him, she thought, he's probably been crying since she lost consciousness. She smiled thinking of how much he cared.

"Hey, Deku."

Izuku looked up at her. His eyes were puffed and red.

"Nejire!" Izuku surged forward and captured Nejire's lips in his, cradling her head in his hand. Nejire smiled into their desperate kiss. When he pulled away, Izuku asked "are you okay?"

"I'll be fine," she said, her voice raspy.

"You need to be more careful," he said. "I could barely feel your heartbeat! You could've–" Izuku nearly choked at the thought.

"That villain needed to be stopped," she shrugged. "Go beyond, plus ultra, right? Besides, I'm okay now."

Izuku smiled. Nejire's optimism was infectious. After clearing away new tears, he looked her in the eye.

"Please, promise me you'll be more careful. I can't– I won't lose you, Nejire."

That was what Nejire loved most about Izuku: his intensity, his passion. He was the most kind-hearted person she'd ever met. She couldn't fathom how lucky she was to love him.

"Okay," she raised and offered her free hand up to Izuku and lifted her little finger. "Pinky promise."

Mumble Me To Sleep

While on a camping trip with is friends, Izuku gets to cuddle with his two girlfriends, Hatsume and Nejire.

Izuku hadn't been to many sleepovers. He'd spent the night at Kacchan's house before, before quirks and bad memories made them grow apart, but other than that, he could count the sleepovers he's had with classmates on one hand. That was including the training camp they'd all gone on, which had been the first time he's felt at ease in such a setting.

This was a little different though. This wasn't because of the school, or because some kids wanted an excuse to make fun of him. No, this was him genuinely getting to hang out with his friends and he didn't think he'd even been so excited.

"Midoriya!" Iida called out, making sharp gestures as he did so. "Todoroki and I are going to keep an eye on things. You can go on to bed."

"O-oh? Are you sure?" he asked. He was getting a little tired, but he didn't want to leave his friends up all night by themselves.

"Don't worry," Iida told him. "Yaoyorozu has promised to take second watch with Kendou. We've got everything handled."

Izuku smiled brightly. The president and vice president were always so on top of things, even when it didn't have anything to do with school stuff. It was really comforting to be able to relax and not feel like he had to worry so much. "Thanks, Iida."

Izuku had turned to walk toward his tent when Iida called out, "Oh? And Midoriya?" He paused in his steps to look over his shoulder. "Try to keep it down tonight? The tents are spread out, but that won't help if you end up making too much noise."

Izuku felt his face go hot and turned away from his friend's piercing gaze. "I-I will!" He squeaked out before rushing off to his tent and ducking inside.

His girlfriends were both already inside. Nejire, in a yellow tank top and shorts, was dropping a pillow on the ground and flopping onto it, while Hatsume was fiddling with a small device in her hand, wear a pink and white stripped pajama top and pink pants.

"Ah, I'm so excited!" Nejire exclaimed. "I never get to spend enough time with you both!"

"We spend time together," Hatsume added without looking up.

"Not like this!"

Izuku held a finger to his lips and gently shushed them. "H-hey, Iida asked us to keep it down tonight."

Nejire smirked at him, sitting up and opening her arms. "I guess you'll have to get closer so that I can be real quiet," she told him.

He blushed, looking away for a moment before grabbing his pillow and dragging over beside hers. She immediately pulled him into her arms, holding his tightly and pressing their foreheads together. "You're so cute, Midoriya."

He buried his blushing face in her shoulder, but wrapped his arms around her as well. Nejire was excitable and affectionate, and even though it embarrassed him, he really liked it. It was the complete opposite of Hatsume, who could get so wrapped up in things that she wouldn't know if she talked to you an hour ago or four days.

"Shoot," Hatsume cried out, dropping the small gadget on her hand and shaking her finger. The small device was sparking and smoking, making a small hissing sound that slowly fizzled out. Both Izuku and Nejire watched this exchange with a small smile. 

"Hey, maybe you should call it a night?" he asked her.

"But I'm so close, I know it!" Hatsume replied.

"Meimei," Nejire said sweetly. "Give it a rest and come cuddle with us?"

Hatsume let out a deep sigh, looking between them and her still smoking project. "Only if you let me work out what the problem is."

"Of course," Izuku answered.

"Yes!" Nejire cheered, squeezing him closer in her excitement. "You know I love listening to you, Meimei."

Hatsume sighed before a reluctant smile spread across her face. "I guess taking a little break every now and again isn't too bad."

Nejire cheered again, pulling Izuku closer as she rocked back and forth in excitement. Izuku didn't think he'd ever get tired of his girlfriend unending energy and excitement. Rather than tire him out like dealing with his more energetic classmates sometimes did, he found it soothing, comforting. A good contrast to Hatsume, who always got wrapped up in her own world.

Izuku pulled out of Nejire's embrace enough to say, "Not too loud, remember."

"Oh!" Nejire giggled as she lowered her voice. "Sorry."

Izuku had gotten used to a little noise at bed time. He was used to thinking out loud himself, but with his two girlfriends, it was even worse. Hatsume often liked to talk on and on about her projects, and Nejire was very curious, always willing to ask questions. It was one of the things that he and Hatsume both appreciated about her the most, her inquisitiveness. Even when she didn't understand what they were talking about, she would still ask for the who, what, when, why, and how. Night with them usually involved Izuku mumbling about his training, sometimes intertwining with Hatsume talking about her projects, and Nehire in the middle asking them both questions back and forth.

They had been scolded many time for keeping others awake. It wasn't always that they were loud, but the constant chatter between would interrupt anyone else trying to sleep.

As he and Nejire laid down and Hatsume dragged her pillow over, he was surprised to himself in the middle. "Um..." Nejire pulled his head onto her chest, stroking the back of his head as he blush furiously. Hatsume pressed herself up against his back, wrapping an arm around his and Nejire's waist. Izuku was almost convinced that this would be a quiet night like he'd promised Iida. Surely he was too embarrassed to talk, let alone think, while in this position.

Well, he was until Nejire spoke up. "Did you see that new hero that appeared the other day? The sweet hero; Cotton? Was that her name? What do you think of her quirk?"

Izuku would swear that he meant to keep the thoughts in his head this time. But his head started whirling a million miles and minute, and without meaning to, his mouth followed. Nejire punctuated his thoughts with more questions and Hatsume began to brain storm ideas for devices that would help, until they were all a feedback loop of sound and excitement.

"Midoriya?" Todoroki's voicce called from outside the tent, causing them all to die down a little. "You're doing it again."

"Sorry, Todo!" Nejire called back. 

"We'll try to keep it down," Midoriya replied.

"Thanks," Todoroki answered. "Get some rest, man."

Izuku sighed as he heard the other bot walk away. "We can never just go to sleep normally, can we?"

"Who needs sleep when you can get inspired?" Hatsume replied with a grin. "Besides..." She snuggled closer to them both, squeezing them tightly. "I love taking with you both more than anything."

"Thanks, we love you, too," Nejire answered.

"I do," Izuku agreed. "I love you both very much."

Prompt: IzuNeji (this'll be pretty angsty, si do keep that in mind); Nejire overuses her Wave Motion quirk, resulting in her heart starting to give out on her, prompting Izuku to try and revive her.

"Hadou!" Izuku shouted. In a desperate move, Nejire finished off the powerful villain, but at a cost. The airborne hero was falling straight to the ground. Izuku used Full Cowling to dash his way to her, jumping from rubble tower to rubble tower until finally catching her.

When they were safely on the ground, Izuku checked Nejire's pulse in her neck. It was faint and uneven, but it was there.

"Hadou!" he shouted. "Nejire!" Izuku started pushing down on her chest, trying to steady her heartbeat. He turned his head away and shouted to the world. "Medic!"

"De–ku..."

Izuku turned back to the woman on the ground, her eyes barely open. She mustered whatever strength left in her to bring her right hand to Izuku's cheek.

"It's okay...I'll be–okay..." Nejire said. Izuku held the hand caressing his cheek as tears streamed from his eyes.

"Please," he said. "Please..."

Nejire smiled at him as sirens blared in the distance.
