Jay Duplass & Linas Phillips star in MANSON FAMILY VACATION, written and directed by J. Davis.

Nick Morgan (DUPLASS) has devoted his life to normalcy, becoming a successful lawyer and raising a family in Los Angeles. His adopted brother, Conrad (PHILLIPS, however, is the polar opposite, roaming the country, creating art living with no fixed agenda. Conrad drifts into L.A. and shows up at Nick’s house unannounced. In an attempt to mend the rift that drove the brothers apart, Nick takes a day to show Conrad around town. However, Conrad has taken the liberty of planning out their tour which includes visiting locations associated with his obsession—the Manson Family murders. Nick reluctantly agrees, and soon their day becomes a series of misadventures at the murder sites, running helter-skelter across the desert. The brothers begin forming new bonds they never shared as kids, and Nick soon learns more about the real reason Conrad is so fascinated with “Charlie” and his infamous Family—a revelation that may lead them down an unsettling path.

J. Davis, a writer, producer, and editor, is making his theatrical narrative debut with MANSON FAMILY VACATION, which premiered at the 2015 South By Southwest Festival. Prior to his feature debut, Davis did production work for corporate videos, and was an editor on the documentaries Kevin (2011) and Soundtracker (2010).

Distributed by The Orchard, MANSON FAMILY VACATION is currently available on VOD and Netflix.
