one month on T. this month flew by, my god.

no substantial differences I’ve noticed but I can tell my voice is getting ever so slightly lower and that that change is coming because my throat has felt hoarse-y and like i just woke up regardless of what time of day it is. which has been a very fun tactile sensation. like my throat is humming more and it’s not all in the high tinny roof of my mouth.

started T. it’s been 11 days.

a long time coming. my new/current job pays well enough (nothing grand, truly, still scraping by) that i could opt in to their offered health insurance. so doc visits are affordable. so: T. is the first thing I have done with that.

this game changer ep is not for me, i fear. i got ten minutes in and had to stop. i am so sorry, but "a gaggle of drunk women/nbs obnoxiously talking over each other b/c none of them have filters b/c they're intoxicated" is not entertaining or enjoyable to me. it is grating and annoying.

I’ve unintentionally created a micro celebrity at my work (daycare).

I made up and introduced the Clean Up Monster to the kids yesterday because they left so many toys out and weren’t putting things away well enough. I made a silly monster hat and told them this is the clean up monster and the clean up monster loves to eat toys. so if the clean up monster gets their hands on any toys during clean up time that toy is gone forever (not actually, I secretly put it back later) because the clean up monster ate it!!! and they shrieked and ran around cleaning up and coordinating their efforts while I prowled around the room like a monster trying to pick up toys that hadn’t been put away.

they beg me to let the clean up monster come out all the time now. they talk about the clean up monster like they’re real. they were congratulating themselves and reminiscing on how the clean up monster only ate two toy coins and a spoon yesterday. they were eating snacks today and didn’t put away two dodge balls and one kid came up to me mid snack and was like “I’m gonna go put those two balls away once I’m done eating so the clean up monster doesn’t eat them”.

you guys, they are obsessed. the clean up monster is a fun celebrity to them that could appear at any time. They have never cleaned up faster and more thorough than when the clean up monster appears (they also adorably work together and give commands to each other to make sure they divide and conquer so the clean up monster doesn’t have a chance to reach anything). it’s so cute. I had no idea the clean up monster would be such a hit.

moving to chicago (trans utopia) in july. have been doing some internal gender journey stuff and plan on starting t once i get settled there.

#J: text #J: life #why is admitting and sharing significant changes so mortifying. finally told my twin today. first person i've shared that thought to.#i had prev talked about t to her in the abstract of 'there are some changes i'd love and a few i wouldn't' but never in #a legitimate 'i want to actually do this' way.#the biggest hangup now is im dirt poor and have crappy insurance.

sam being so smitten and down bad for gianmarco was cute to watch. he wants that man carnally.

new game changer ep was a phenomenal start to season 7. jacob, lou, and vic are such a good trio. all so funny in their own unique styles but still riff off each other well. also kind of too achingly good. it had a touch of a Taskmastery-y feel to it and made me long for what we could have had for the US Taskmaster show were they to have cast/produced the show better (i.e. sam as alex or the taskmaster with california comedians instead of straight up celebrities). anyway. the production quality of this episode was incredible. everything was so well done.

#sam having to talk to a kink therapist at the end was so funny. him self identifying as a gentle dom #who likes to take on the persona of an ungentle dom. insane. understandable.#J: text

#i do not care for misfits and magic. the first drag queens dnd season was fun but i am not really all that interested in a return.#the new shows they've launched feel derivative and without a honed enough vision and tone/personality and structure.#im v bored and unimpressed as of late. i hate to say.#J: text
