03: A memory from your character’s career

Junhee had the chance to do a CF with EXO. It was an interesting experience, mostly because she got to do something with her classmate and friend Jongin. It was also funny to see him run several times and fail at tossing the can of juice from her hands accurately. Multiple shots were done and she had to hold back laughs, gradually feeling tired for him after a while.

06: Something that makes your character angry

Direct attacks on the people she loves most in this world. There isn’t much that can easily trigger anger with Junhee. And let’s put aside being playfully angry as that is something plausible coming from the soloist. However, she has a protective side towards her friends, family, fans and anyone else who holds a dear place in her heart. Harm them and it will harm her as well. She is someone who is happy through the happiness of her close ones. Her happiness counts as well, but seeing them happy has its influential effects.

09: Something that frightens your character

It is something vague. Something that can’t be defined shortly, it seems. It is the result of many past events, a compilation of pain, sorrow and even agony to a certain extent. A developed fear that gathers the memories and is set as a reminder. This is what frightens Junhee on a daily basis and underlies her smiles and cheerful behavior.

Is there anything special about her parents aside from having the right qualities such as compassionate, caring, supporting, gentle, kind, funny and etc? Of course, they were strict when it was needed, only wanting the best for their children. Her mom and dad are her role models. Her mom is the person she would like to be in the future, the kind of mom that she wants to be if she ever becomes one as well. Her dad is the one who fueled her passion for music, who is her main source that leads her to her current career. Not only are they her aspirations, they are also the pillars that prevented her from giving up.

15: Describe your character’s worst enemy

They often seem eager, impulsive and taunting. Unpredictable might be the main adjective characterizing them though. They will often opt for the surprise effect, trying to stun the soloist when she’s least expecting it. They play with her feelings, often giving a smile before tears glaze her eyes. They either poke on the invisible scars or jab them, just for their pleasure of opening old wounds. Certain memories are worth hidden in the darkest places of her mind, but, of course, they would always find a way to come out, reminding her of certain lost pains and sorrows. Even if they are in the past, it doesn’t mean they are harmless.

18: What kind of music your character likes

She doesn’t have any specific preference in terms of music. In fact, she tries to listen to different genres, changing from one to another depending on her mood or her liking. Recently, she has been listening to hip hop and rnb a lot, perhaps influenced by that one event where she was invited to perform along with Epik High, Dok2, The Quiett, Gray and etc. She might be influenced by her boyfriend’s musical taste as well… Junhee also listens to K-indie a lot, which is somewhat close to her style of music, bringing forth the inspiration she needs to write her own compositions.

14: Describe your character’s present best friend

There is one person she would consider her all-time best friend— ah. It might just be one-sided by now. That person is currently living abroad, most of her memory gone in the abyss. Chances are that she wouldn’t recognize Juniel if they ever cross paths again. She has the talents, musical talents. She also has the beauty, the height, the energy, the determination… She knew Junhee’s mind the best and no uttered words were really necessary between them. They would understand one another in their silence. Ever since the unfortunate event that happened to the girl, the soloist hasn’t really found someone who could reach that level of closeness with her.Ah, but there might be someone who can somewhat reach it. With time, surely, he will. She hasn’t gathered the courage to open up the way she used to with her best friend yet, but he managed to treat her wounded heart. So, there is a chance that her present best friend is actually the one she loves dearly.

05: A memory that your character wishes to erase

There are moments when, despite being adamant about it, people keep suggesting the soloist to dance. She’s an awful dancer. Junhee didn’t promptly choose instruments over dance without a reason— if one succeeds on finding the videos proving those moments, one would understand rapidly why she would blatantly refuse to dance. Still, she can’t really convince anyone without showing them a few of her unique dance moves—

10: Something that turns your character on

Loyalty. Or better, trust. There is something particularly appealing and satisfying about it. No need to worry, no need to be self-aware of anything she does and says. She can be herself completely around that person, knowing that her secrets told would be kept with the other. There is something reassuring and comforting in having someone she can completely trust and knowing they won’t leave her behind, in any psychological or physical state she could be.

15: Describe your character’s worst enemy

They are what causes her pressure, stress and anxiety. Doubts and fears, sometimes, but never to a bigger extent than the other three. They are controlling, manipulative and strict. They follow their own flow and force her to do the same. Oftentimes, she can’t guess their pace. Sometimes, it is tolerable, other times, not. They can be suffocating, always demanding the most of her when she’s reaching her limits. They are somewhat looking down on her, but thinking highly of her abilities as well. There is confusion to what they truly want from her. And in the end, she must sacrifice sleep in order to complete her tasks, always running with time— or running after time. Time does not seem to care of anyone anyway.

20: What your character is like at social events

A social butterfly. A social butterfly that doesn’t demand the spotlight to be on her. Junhee appreciates talking to others, meeting new and old people, rekindling a few friendships left hanging if the occasions let her to do so. She won’t be too loud or demanding attention though. She would be where she should be, not going too far, staying close to friends and acquaintances, talking about nearly anything and smiling as per usual.

03: A memory from your character’s career

Back when Junhee was a trainee and was studying in Japan, she had sought for advice and encouragement from her favorite band Peppertones. She did receive a reply from them, which helped her go through the hardships of being mostly on her own, in another country, struggling with getting herself known by doing street performances here and there. When she finally debuted, she got the chance to meet them personally, on stage during an episode of Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, performing with them. That was one of her wishes that came true.

Flounder: Something that surprised you and frightened you.

Before my official debut, I was able to be comfortable on stage with the help of Yonghwa Oppa— but then I had to officially debut on my own. I was happy, but at the same time, I didn’t know if I’ll be able to do well. Ah! Still, I had fun and I’m more confident when I hold my guitar so… ㅋ

Aladdin: A sacrifice you made for someone.

I sacrificed my feelings for them in order to move on.

Tiana: A time you tried the hardest for something.

When I was studying in Japan, I was mostly studying during the day and practicing at night. Since I was on my own, I had to keep working hard even if I could barely get decent sleep. Also, I participated in a music contest, so I really had to work on my guitar and composing skills in order to win.

Cruella: Something you really want but you aren’t allowed to have.

A decent amount of good memories where I spent time with classmates on field trips and whatnot— since I was a trainee, free time was limited and I didn’t really attend any outings and festivals organized in my middle and high school.
