Unsuspecting of his approaching encounter, his eyes widen in shock of the sudden weight of her arms suppressing the girth of his shoulders as she embraced him momentarily. It wasn’t until he turned his head just at the same moment that she swung around to face him that his start was replaced with affection, evoking him to slip an arm about her midsection, before she could break the embrace. A soft, friendly grin curved at his lips; her statement true, that indeed, he had missed seeing his friend.
He allowed her free movement, releasing her of his mutual grip whilst nodding his head lightly in answer to her question, his tone warm as he spoke, “Ha, yeah… I did miss seeing you. It’s been too long.” Her cheeky smile was contagious, plastering a small smirk of infection onto his lips. He then reached forth, ruffling the fringe of hair that rested over her forehead as he continued to speak, “I’ve been holding up pretty well, though. I don’t have a whole lot to complain about, honestly. What about yourself?” Pausing, his eyes narrowed into small slits, unsure if his bad eyesight was deceiving him or rather he had noticed a change. “Is your hair darker?… It looks nice.”
Her arms that were supported by his shoulders felt comfortable where they were placed and when his arms were wrapped around her midsection, she was in bit of a shock as he didn’t seemed like he would do so. However, she still enjoyed the affection coming from him as it had been awhile since they had met. Too long, in fact. Now in front of him after altering from the previous position, she smiled as she listened to her friend speak with great attention.
As she was listening to his response which didn’t seem so sincere, there was sincerity, but not that much. “Are you just saying that to be kind or do you actually miss me?” She questioned him half-jokingly, wanting to know the definite truth. Allowing him to ruffle her bangs, she then ran her hands through the bangs to arrange it back to its original position. Her face showed a bit of displeasure for a quick second before she continued to put on that signature smile. “I’m really glad that you’ve been well all this time, really. You don’t have a lot to complain about? So, that means there is something…,” she said with concern, “I’ve been doing well myself, quite honestly. Just filming for my drama as of right now and a song release with Huh Gak oppa which will be coming out soon.”
Her face showed satisfaction as he noticed a change from her image, showing his care. She ran her fingers though her hair before responding, “Hah, yes I did. Thanks for noticing, but you’re the one who made quite an appearance with that new haircut of yours. It makes you look manlier, well not that you didn’t look so before, don’t get me wrong.” She replied with a hint of a chuckle whilst her hands made an entrance to touch the sides of his hair before she commented, “Very prickly.”
