A House of Cards and Lords; the Red Rose feat. @jack-seo
Jude never lingered in one place for long, something anyone who knew them could tell you. Honestly, anyone who looked at Jude for longer than ten seconds could probably tell that about them; they never stopped moving and never really stopped fidgeting, not nerves so much as aggressively unmanaged energy that Jude didn’t have any intentions of managing.
Tonight he was flitting from conversation to irreverent conversation, and when even that bored him, he’d take a break from the thick and heavily perfumed air of the casino to step out to the smoker’s patio. This was his third such trip already, glitter-iridescent e-cig already in hand as he avoided every loud cluster of tipsy partygoers to find a bit of respite in an alcove around the building corner.
The spot was already taken, though, something Jude came to realize with a surprised cough that manifested in a strawberry-sweet cloud. “Fuck, Jack.” The cough trailed into a laugh instead, and Jude shuffled closer until they were both largely out of view of the other guests.
“You actually smoke, or just like lurkin’ around dark corners?”
