ITERATION 8-23a - HABITER
Habiter means to live. That is certainly the case for THE HABIT plaguing our times. ITERATION 8-23a serves as proof of this, being the first 23rd branch off from the 8th iteration. If you cannot already tell, that is quite a big number-- and a big off-shoot from say ITERATION 1-3b or ITERATION 3-14c (the second of the 3rd branch off from iteration one and the third of the 14th branch off from iteration 3, respectively.) I wonder even now how many of these iterations I must go through before I reach an end; either mine or HABIT's. I'm unsure which will come first. Still, I have not given up hope.
This iteration proves to be quite an interesting one. As explained before though haphazardly (unfortunately I was quite scattered brained at the time of writing the first of these logs entitled [REDACTED]) the first number indicates the main iteration cycle. Thus, this is the eight iteration. Twenty-three is a new branch, meaning a slight differentiation has been made, but it is still relatively the 8th iteration as the change does not greatly affect the iteration cycle. The letter a indicates an even more minute change. So minute that it is still the 23rd branch of iteration 8. The iteration will go up to iteration 9 once the changes become significant enough to alter the entire cycle. Therefore it will be iteration 9, its branches that follow start back at 1, and changes in those offshoots start back at a. Luckily I have not had to encounter, label, and follow any iteration higher than 20-- until now, anyways.
However, as this is the a offshoot of branch 23, it is a new change to iteration 8. Meaning, there could be something here that can help in me in my mission. Seems promising so far, actually.
Having successfully killed off The Voyeur, thus causing the iteration to change to our current iteration 8 -- to which now no Voyeur is present -- it truly has made all the difference. The EVERYMANHYBRID crew, no longer having Jeff (and therefore no Alex), do not need to rely on him to progress. Thus things can speed up a great amount. It's a shame, though. The Voyeur, once he caught onto what I had planned, certainly wished me dead. But alas, once our confrontation began, I was quick to end it. No need to jeopardize further iterations with his presence. I hoped to have left him be, that maybe in the end he would prove useful and maybe I could save just one more; but he threatened my life and my mission. Therefore, he was slayed.
Regardless, this iteration cycle seems to be quite unstable. Lots and lots of variables set within the iteration cycle. I supposed the higher the number iteration, the wider berth it allows for changes. To exemplify this, the change inherent in the 23rd branch is already proving absolutely phenomenal! The arrival of [REDACTED] is truly a miracle, if I've ever seen one. Maybe this time, the greater goal at hand can be achieved. I certainly hope so.
