“I love the idea of deconstructing obsolete objects which were once brand new, desirable, shiny products and reconfiguring them to have new meaning and purpose. I use almost exclusively waste material – occasionally I have to buy metal, but I try to make this second hand. Quite often I use metal that I have simply found lying around on the beach or in the woods, there is quite a lot of ‘fly-tipping’ here.”
