HI! I think I was away when you reblogged this awhile back sooooo-
🍄, 🌹 and 🦢for 3 sims of your choice >:D
YAY thank u < 3 I'm going to do Ollie for this one since he's newer, at least to Tumblr, he's a character back from like 2020.
🍄 Do they collect anything?
Ever since childhood, he's collected newspaper clippings of important events that have occurred over time. He kept doing this in adulthood to use as potential style models for his university work (studied Communications at Foxbury). I imagine he still does it now, but not as much, since as he actually has the job now he can really see the flaws in how other news outlets get things across.
🌹 What does your character smell like? Do they were a perfume of any kind?
I imagine something really typical in scents designed for men, like sea minerals and fennel, or sandalwood. Nothing interesting or stand-out.
🦢 Share a random fact about them!
He speaks fluent Sixamian, since he and his little brother were adopted by a Sixamian social worker when he was 9. It shocks a lot of people considering that a lot of humans didn't take the time to learn the language the way Sixamians learned human language.
And another random fact about the Sixamian language in general:
It was harder for the Sixamians to learn human language because a lot of the Earthly flavours of Simlish are very descriptive, and with a few exceptions, a lot of Sixamian language is very practical and there's not a lot of words for abstract qualities. The main reason for this is because they can feel each other's emotions, so had little reason to describe feelings with words. This means a lot of Sixamian language post-first-contact has a lot of loanwords from different versions of Simlish.
It's actually easier for humans to learn Sixamian because its grammatical structure is not that difficult, and because there's not really that many Sixamian words pre-first-contact compared to other Earth languages. Of course, some of the words are difficult for the human tongue, but still.
