Okay maybe I underestimated how long it would take me to get their stage together (I never should have learned how to make recolours, so much time making things the right colour). It should be ready in the next couple of days.......until then here's some pictures from their beach day (they already have their basic introductions here but I have included some fun facts about the band)
Lex and Maddie have been best friends since elementary school, as long as they've known each other they've been a package deal....There was even a rumour when they started high school that they were dating (not true of course but to be fair to everyone else they did talk about sharing a bed very publicly).
Nadia was the first to join the band other than the original 3 (Maddie, Jack and Lex) and Alistair joined most recently (they weren't really looking for another member but the best things come when you're not looking for them).
The twins sent lex to convince Nadia to join the band since they can't say no to her so they figured it might work on other people too.
Lex might have kissed Nadia to help in the persuasion....
Lex has three older brothers, they were always really close (having kind of shitty parents can do that). Their group chat involves quite a bit of gossiping about what their parents are up to........
Lex is also the only member of the band with no disabilities/medical conditions.
Alistair is the only member of the band that is an only child, he's always been close with his parents and only got closer with his mum in his teens after his dad passed.
Scarlett is a medical alert and response service dog. She is also very good at boosting moral.
Maddie is the only single member of the band (not that she minds, she is very happily aroace)
Also, meet Alistair's mum, Adi. She's tagged along to Sulani as moral support (and to watch Scarlett while the band are performing).

Jess realises how much she's lost since joining the military, and more importantly than that, she's realising that what she is doing will ultimately hurt her daughter and the Sixamians. She will have to use her skills to try and get to the bottom of the cover-ups and that starts with trying to get clearance into the deeper part of the lab that only higher-ranked military members can enter. Erwin does not trust the military, but he trusts Jess, since she's not like the other ones he sees around. Erwin recommends he go in there, so they'll just escort the crazy conspiracy theorist out and so Jess is less likely to get in trouble.
Can the two of them figure out what's going on?

Jess: Hey, Leslie! Long time, no see, huh? I've been real busy! What have you been up to?

Leslie: What do you want? There's a reason we haven't spoken to since San My' - why would we wanna associate with the military? We have Sixamian friends, you know!

Jess: What? Leslie, I have a child to clothe and feed! There's barely any other work in this country that's hiring! I had no choice!
Leslie: There's always a choice, Jess! You chose this knowing what it entailed! That's nobody else's fault!

Jess: Not everybody gets the privilege to take half of Momma's paycheck and live in a big house on a hill painting crappy watercolours of sunsets all day long, do they?! Some of us live in the real world and have to make our own damn way through life! Some of us don't have our moms and dads to give us a free ride!
Leslie: Screw you, Jess!

WALKING HOME...
Leslie, Mark, Alice… Tank, everyone else in the military… The conspiracy theorists… Why is everybody cool with being kept in the dark? Everything now is excuses and escapism. What about the rest of us that have no choice but to brave the real world?
Those three are fine to live off their parents' money and never learn to live. The military is fine to convince themselves for the rest of their lives that everything they do is justified because of First Contact. And everything is justified because they just wanna be careful that the Sixamians don't 'come back for more'.

Nothing the Sixamians can do can convince this country that the past is the past. PT9 is the reason all alien abductions are consensual. The modern Sixamians in New Sixam respect the land and the people. They help Meredith with maintaining the historical Preservation Garden. They don't any Sixamian weapons on Earth, as per the treaty from back in the day, but we still have ours, 'just in case'.
The Sixamians here are good people. They would never do anything to harm New Sixam intentionally - but Watcher knows what I could do about this...

Whatever this does to the future of New Sixam - that's the future my daughter will grow up in.
If I stay in the military...then I play a part in that.
I don't care if my friends walk away from me...but I can't let Christie down. I've done that enough.

Jess: Afternoon, Erwin. I wanted to ask you about something.
Erwin: Huh? What, no! There is no secret inventory! That's just a rumour!
Jess: You're not in trouble, Erwin. You're my friend! I wouldn't rat you out.

Erwin: Well, what can I do for you?
Jess: We're both tired of the lack of answers, but we both know where the answers lie. Only I don't have clearance for it.
Erwin: Wait. You really wanna do that? But what if you get caught? Why would you not have clearance?
Jess: I'm not a high enough rank. And at this point, it's worth the risk.

You might lose your job. I'll tell you everything I find out. Watcher knows I've been dying to find out what's in there.
Jess: I wouldn't want you getting hurt, Erwin. It's better I do it. I can defend myself.
Erwin: Well, you could come with me if you want. We can keep an eye on each other. 'Safety in numbers' and all that stuff. What do you think?

Scarlett spent the duration of the performance with Alister's mum (getting all the atttention she rightly deserves) as the stage is little bit too loud for her so, seeing as I can't possibly post about them without the cutest member of the band, here's some additional little behind the scenes pictures!!!!
