Ai was busy—okay, so she wasn’t really busy, but she liked to feel like she was busy, with her papers scattered out on the desk along with various books. If she was going to be running her own business, then she needed to learn not only the business aspects, but also about all the animals she would be taking care of. The library was her favorite place to go because it was (usually) quiet and had a calm feeling in the air. She thought usually, because it seemed today that someone was feeling rather rambunctious as a voice traveled from the other side of the bookcases. With a soft sigh, she rolled her eyes and kept her head down, focused on her books.
It wasn’t until she heard a…very similar voice…nearby her and saw a shadow suddenly cast over her books. Looking up with a slight grimace, she was tempted to push him off the table. Instead, she held her hand out to him. “If you’re going to sit on my table, you have to pay me a fine of half of that candy bar. Or else I’ll push you off and steal it.”
"oof, that's a hefty fine. and i'm cheap, so." he took her hand and shook it before plopping into the seat across from the girl with a grin.
he munched slowly on the candy bar, peeking at the papers scattered about the table and reading a couple lines here and there. "you look busy. should i leave?"
