✿♡◎ = JAY, ❤δ = ZEKE :~)
for jay.
✿ = buying them flowers .
She'd had a long, hard week. Four essays, three astronomical chartings, and Quidditch Practice had kept the petite Ravenclaw on her toes every second of every minute of every hour of every day, and it was easy to tell that the stress of it all was finally getting to Andromeda. To top it all off, she had to get to the library-- oh..five minutes ago for tutoring, not that she minded. She enjoyed the time she got to spend with Jay in the library. She REALLY enjoyed it, actually. Sprinting through the corridors, the raven-haired sixth year slowed to a stop as she reached the library, panting slightly as she approached her and Jay's usual table. "Hey, I'm sorry I'm late-- I had to turn in so many-- Andy.. --essays and charts and-- Andy.. --and then I had to check on something for Quidditch, and...What are those?"
Her uniquely shaded turquoise hues settled upon a bouquet of daisies-- Her favorite flower. A bright pink blush crept onto her cheeks as she looked from the Gryffindor to the flowers, suddenly at a loss for words. "Those...Are those-- Are they for me?" She questioned, suddenly feeling the stress of her week melt from her shoulders, an airy sense of giddiness fluttering within her stomach. All it took was the slightest nod from the Gryffindor for her to surge forward, wrapping her arms tightly around his torso. "Thank you so much," She breathed, standing on her tip toes, her face buried in his shirt. "You have NO IDEA as to how much that just improved my week-- Honestly, thank you." She wasn't sure what she'd done to deserve such an amazing person in her life, but for once, she wasn't going to question it.
♡ = complimenting them .
"You look beautiful today.." The simple sentence had caught her completely off guard. She'd awoken fifteen minutes late that morning, had barely had time to put her hair up into a semi-decent bun, and she was almost certain that she was wearing two different pairs of socks. She didn't feel beautiful. And yet here he was, gently complimenting her. Andromeda's lips dropped, forming the shape of a perfect 'O' as she glanced up at him, tucking her black gel pen (( one that she'd stolen from Claramae )) behind her ear. "I-- T-Thank you," She stuttered, her heart beat quickening as her usual blush colored her cheeks. "Really..Thank you." She offered up a shy, genuine smile before bringing a hand up to scratch the back of her neck, a soft chuckle escaping from her full lips. "You don't look too bad yourself, y'know." And now she just wanted to slap herself in the face. Multiple times.
◎ = taking care of them while ill .
"You really don't have t-- ACHOO !!" Andromeda's sentence was cut short by a sneeze, a soft groan following. She d e s p i s e d getting sick. Catching a cold just so happened to be number one on her list of things she hated the most, which was definitely saying something, considering all Andromeda had been through recently. "Honestly, I don't want you getting sick either." Her stuffy nose caused her voice to sound funny as she spoke-- Another reason for her to groan. "Jay, seriously-- Shh. I want to. Let me do this for you, okay?" And as much as she wanted to protest, the Ravenclaw finally surrendered.
For the rest of the day, she let him take care of her. It was different-- She wasn't used to people taking care of her when she was sick. Her mother had stopped bothering after she turned ten. For so long, Andy had had to fend for herself when battling germs. To have someone willingly want to care for her was a new experience entirely. He'd gotten her juice, food, tissues-- Anything she'd needed, he'd provided, jokes included. He'd managed to make her smile, laugh even. A near impossible feat when she wasn't feeling well.
It wasn't but two weeks later that he had fallen ill with the same cold she had just gotten over, and she had been there to take care of him just as he had been there to care for her. "Now it's MY turn to take care of YOU."
for lezekiel.
❤ = kissing them .
It had happened so fast-- Andromeda barely knew what was happening as Zeke pressed his lips to her own. She stood frozen for a few moments, eyes wide, unable to figure out what to do. So, what did she do, exactly?
She squeaked. Yup-- Andromeda Amphitrite Duponte squeaked. It wasn't anything unusual for the girl. She was very jumpy, after all. But this? This was shock. Confusion. Where had this even come from? One moment she'd been stuttering about some book she'd read last week, and the next, he was kissing her. Kissing her. Oh Merlin. The raven haired girl could only stare as the seventh year pulled away, turquoise hues scanning over his features as she tried to figure out what the HELL that had caused that reaction from the Slytherin. "I--" She started, unable to form the proper words. What was she supposed to say? Hey Zeke, you just kissed me! Yeah, as if. Instead, she merely bit her lip, a string of thoughts racing through her mind. Had he been trying to make someone jealous? Was he simply seeking a reaction from her? What the hell was going on? Opening her mouth once again, she couldn't stop the stream of words that tumbled from her tongue.
"Books. Books are nice, aren't they? I just LOVE books. There are so many different genres, you know-- Mystery, fiction, nonfiction-- So, so many. Do you like books, Zeke? I LOVE books. Books. They're so nice." Slapping a hand over her mouth, the Ravenclaw scampered away, still unable to comprehend what exactly had just happened.
δ = playing with their hair .
"What are you doing?" Andromeda squeaked as the seventh year twirled a lock of her hair around his finger, turquoise hues locked upon his actions. "Zeke-- Zeke, are you alright?" She questioned, shifting her gaze from his hand to his face. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of this situation. Why was Lezekiel Lestrange, of all people, playing around with her hair? And at such a random time, as well? A look of confusion etched itself into her features as she moved to look between his face and his occupied hand, a slight frown tugging at her lips. "You're acting s-strange.." She was never good with attention, and she was almost CERTAIN that he knew that. Yet, here they were. "Er-- I..-- Andromeda Duponte.." And suddenly, her eyes were as wide as saucers. Not again.. He flashed her his award winning smile, and Andromeda felt the intense need to start running. He dipped down to her height, winking. It was then that he allowed the lock of her dark hair to fall from his fingertips, a whistle sounding from his lips as he moved passed her, making his way down the corridor, leaving a hopelessly confused Eagle wondering what had just happened.
