Here are the picture from Julia's birthday gift that I put together!

I know I originally said I was going to try and post pictures of all the pages, because a lot of you were excited to see your letter and photos as a page in the book, but I didn't do that for a few reasons. One, mainly I ran out of time! I worked really hard to try and get everyone's note and letter to her into the book... I even was putting stuff in the morning before I met her! (There are 40+ pages in the book!!).

The second (and more important reason) was that I sort of felt like posting every page online was an invasion of what Julia would discover in the gift. This is for her and I know its cool to see your letter in something she will see, but I felt like this was so personal and really important that Julia discovers each page. In short I felt like it would take away from the privacy of that, by putting them all out there into the world.

That being said, please know how much she loved all of this. When she first got it, she took the time to look at each page and it was very cool to see her point at pictures and remember people that she had met from events. A lot of you that were included in the book are also friends of mine, and I loved being able to mention you to her and go "Oh this is Stephanie" or "oh here Patricia drew this and this one over here". :)

Thanks for being part of this project for Julia! All your words, pictures, letters, and love is what made this book and it could not have happened at all without you guys!! Thank you so so much!!!

Today I was given one of the sweetest, most humbling gifts I've ever received. This glow* book is just filled to the brim with the kindest words that have ever been spoken over me. I'm completely serious when I say I am humbled and in awe!

As I started to read through this, it made me realize a couple of things: 1) Every time I chose to extend a kind word or a hug, even when I thought it was just something small, it sometimes meant much more than I could ever imagine. Times when I thought it didn't really matter, it actually mattered very much. 2) When you have kind words for someone you should SHARE them! You never know how much it might mean.

Your kind words to me today meant more than you might ever know. It got me to thinking that we should be more willing to give compliments, give hugs and kind words; give our love away. When you have a nice thought about someone, share it! It might just be exactly what they need to hear.

Right now there seems to be a lot of rough stuff going on in the world, and it can be easy to let that overwhelm us. We have a choice though, to focus on the love instead. We can give our love away, as frequently and freely as possible, and let even the smallest acts become important and special.

I know your notes and photos in this book may have seemed small to you, but they feel huge to me right now! Just like I had no idea that certain small moments I had with some of you were actually very important in your world.

Love is no good kept to ourselves. It's time we give our love away!
