Saphael Tangled AU:
All Raphael wanted to do was steal the crown and sell it for a ridiculous amount of money so that he and his family could live out the rest of their lives without having to fight for scraps. But no he gets stuck with...Simon.
All Simon wanted to do was go out into the town with his best friend Clary and see the floating lights. Sure, he’d have to lie to Camille about staying home and then sneak out, but hey he could manage that. But no, someone had to break in and ruin his plans. But, maybe blackmailing Raphael into showing him the lights for the crown isn’t such a bad thing?
In a ridiculous adaption of everyone’s fave pan (ha) wielding, proud vegetarian prince and a disgruntled thief, Simon, long lost Prince is locked away in a tower by the Camille, who uses his magical blood in order to remain young and immortal. Raphael stumbles upon a beautiful boy and suddenly it’s the weirdest road trip ever.
Seriously, this kid’s best friends with a girl who has a pet chameleon. Named Jace? What kind of name is Jace? And why is she not freaked out about Simon giving his blood to his supposed mother?
Simon thinks Raphael is weird, given how pessimistic he is about the world. At least his mom let’s him out of the house.
Things take a turn for the worse when Luke and his horse Maximus try and capture Raphael. And it gets even more worse when Raphael leaves Simon in order to maintain the crown. After all family comes first. That is until he gets thrown in jail.
But what happens when Simon is not only heartbroken by Raphael’s but discovers that Camille isn’t his mother and in fact he is the son of Queen Elaine?
All hell breaks loose. Apparently Camille’s new trick is to drain Simon so that she can become permanently immortal. Yikes.
Simon might be done for, until Clary, Jace and Luke break Raphael out of prison and he saves Simon. Engaging in a rough battle with Camille leaves Raphael severely injured. But Camille is still powerful, young, and strong.
And while she gloats Raphael decides that he can’t die until he sets Simon free, the only way to do that is by making him ingest his blood, thereby cancelling all the magical properties. So. He kisses him. And just like that Camille is reduced to dust.
All seems well, except that Raphael isn’t responding anymore and Simon can’t bare to think that this is the end.
And SURPRISE it isn’t, because this is Disney and therefore, magical blood might be gone, but magical tears are forever. And through the power of love and fairytale and everything Deus Ex Machina, Raphael comes back!!
And everything is happy and perfect. His family is safe and secure, Clary meets Isabelle, Jace meets another chameleon named Meliorn, which Raphael still doesn’t understand. Something called a Malec exists and Luke has been making eyes at Maryse the entire celebration. Not that he’s paying attention to that as much as he is to Simon.
And yes, Simon sure looks beautiful in a crown, he’ll always look even more stunning in his homemade ones made of flowers. So yeah, maybe getting stuck with Simon wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
