who do you worry about the most? why?
Well, I worry about everyone. A lot. Like it's my job. Jesus Christ, I sound like my mother...
But, right now? Jace. For obvious reasons.
Jace; borrowing Andy's guitar.

"Rain makes corn, and corn makes whiskey. Whiskey makes my baby, feel a little frisky!" Leila sang under her breath as she made her way to Jace's house, a bottle of whiskey clutched loosely in her hand, her other one raising up to tuck some hair behind her ear. The rain had finally stopped and the Outpost smelled like wet ground, it was nice she mused, turning the corner onto Jace's sorry patch of front lawn.
Climbing up the short steps to his front door Leila just somewhat barged in, knowing the trick to unlocking his front door with a jiggle of the knob. She smiled softly at her surroundings before walking to his bedroom, wondering where he was.
Stepping inside she had to stop herself from calling out, noticing him asleep in his bed. Biting her lip at the image, she put the bottle down on his dresser and walked to the other side of the bed, climbing in carefully next to the blonde, trying not to wake him. Leila looked at him for a second, he looked so soft here, asleep. Not yelling, not fighting, no sarcastic remarks. This was her favorite side of him, one she only ever got to see every once in a while, but she reveled in nonetheless. Leila leaned over and kissed his forehead softly, before getting comfortable, sighing out softly.
Theme of the Week
Week One: What to do with Suddenly.
Sudden Realizations:
well what do you think of each founder then?
Alright then.
Leila - God, she's a sweetie. A Southern belle, absolutely. Always nice, always friendly, always thinking about everyone else. She may treat me like a kid, but I probably deserve it. She keeps this group together, if you ask me.
Matthew - Woops, almost called him Matt. Well, I like him. I do. He's funny when he wants to be. He kicks a lot of ass, doesn't take anyone's shit.
Jace - What a guy. Don't fuck with him, basically. I consider myself lucky to be on his good side. I hope. He's got a one track mind, survival, and that's definitely vital around here. I think it's a result of his dedication to his job, guarding everyone, that he maybe, uh, could give no less fucks about whatever's going on inside the walls. People suck. He just doesn't pretend like they don't. He's a rad guy, everything considered.
Amanda - What can be said about Amanda Desmond? She's been with me from the beginning. I think I get along better with her than anyone. That's partly because she won't tolerate anything less. Ha, no, but really, she's so kind-hearted, and smart, and hilarious. And a feisty thing, if I ever saw one.
And then there's me, and I pretty much just suck. The end.
Coming Home | Jace&Leila
Leila was laying upside down on her couch, feeling the blood rush to her head. It had been a rollercoaster couple of days, first Matthew comes back, then Harley and then the biggest surprise of all: Jace. Leila didn't want to admit it but a long time she figured him dead. That's when things had gone to shit in her mind. But low and be hold, the cocky son of a bitch was home and truthfully Leila couldn't have been happier, even if she felt her chest twinge when she saw him. She was afraid he would leave again, disappear into thin are like he did the first time.
Chastising herself Leila flipped over and stood up, feeling the doozy feeling of getting up too fast. Shaking her head she picked up a t-shirt off the floor and brought it up to her face and sniffed it. Deeming is acceptable she peeled off her tank top and slipped the new shirt on, raking a hand though her long blonde hair afterwards, reminding herself to brush it. Her hair had gotten impossibly long, now reaching her waist but she liked it, liked that she could finger the strands without having to lift her hands up, it's why she hadn't gone to Andy for a cut yet.
Humming quietly to herself she moved around her disaster of an office, kicking random articles of clothing around as she looked for her shorts. Leila walked around in her underwear most of the time, if she wasn't working and not doing anything, panties it was. Modesty had gone out of the window along with the rest of the world. Finding them among next to her bottle of whiskey she grinned and slipped them on, her long legs looking impossibly longer in them. Taking a swig from the bottle she put it down and quickly existed her office out into the sun.
Momentarily blinded she walked in the direction she knew she wanted to go. Leila had put it off long enough. Knowing he was back and seeing him around was one thing, but going to his house was a complete other. Leila had missed him. Jace was one of the two people she trusted above everyone else in what was left of the world, his abrupt departure affecting her more than she wanted to let on. What had happened since then had changed her beyond recognition it seemed. Coming up to his 'lawn' she had to smile a little sadly. It was a sorry patch of grass, but she had avoided it for so long it almost felt like an ache being back again.
Leila stood at his front door for a moment, her heart beating a little faster than normal. Biting her lip softly, she just turned the knob, they had forgotten the decency of knocking on each others doors years ago. Opening the door to the dark place her throat clenched. Things where piled everywhere, a thin layer of dust covering everything, it was like a tomb almost, perfectly preserved from the last time she had been there. The night before he just disappeared. Her eyes trailed over everything before landing on him, just standing there. Leila leaned on the door frame and just sighed, raising a hand to play with the tips of her hair, her pale green eyes bright. "Hey you." She said softly, not entering entirely yet.
30 Days of Character Development
Day Nine: Who does your character trust?
Leila has always found it hard to trust anyone, her entire life people always wanting to be her friend because of her looks and charm. After her father died she stopped trusting in people completely.
At the Outpost she doesn't trust anyone farther than she can throw them, except for Jace and Matthew that is. Jace wormed his way into her heart somehow and now that he's there, that's where he'll stay as far as she's concerned. As for Matthew, he is her family, now. The closest person she's had in long long time.
