Initially Jackson had thought the banging was coming from down the hall, but as it continued and as he heard the unmistakable sound of someone yelling his brother's name, he realized whoever was pounding on the door was doing so on their door. Or well, Jake's door. Jack was just here for a few months to spend the summer with his brother. Who had clearly pissed somebody off. Letting out a deep sigh he rose from the bed and went to the front door. He didn't know what he expected when he opened it but it was not the sight he was met with. A petite redhead whose flushed face was red with tears. His brows instantly furrowed as he looked down at her. "Uh, I'm sorry, Jake isn't here..." he trailed. "Is - Is there something I can help you with?" He didn't feel right just turning her away when there was clearly something wrong.

Jack chuckled softly when she mentioned being 'where the action was', and his head shook slightly as his lips lifted slightly around the lip of his bottle as he took another sip. "Somehow I definitely don't think they'll let you where the action is now." he teased, though a small smile followed. "Liability and all, not that you couldn't handle it." he clarified, making sure she knew he didn't think she wasn't fully capable. "I bet its great." he agreed wholeheartedly. He'd always thought she was a talented writer, and had always hated hearing when his brother would say something like, 'it's just writing' when he'd talk about her work. The brunette turned to look at her when she spoke and he nodded instantly. "Oh yeah, of course. Especially with it still coming down out there." When she mentioned his brother once again, he couldn't help but wonder what time in the morning he'd end up sauntering in, and what debauchery he'd have to share. And while Jack loved Jake, he didn't think there was no way he was ready to be any sort of dad. His head shook instantly at her last words though. "No way. You can take my bed." he offered.
