#OTD in @chicagocubs history ▸ while playing center field for the Cubs, Jack McCarthy starts three double plays to set a record among outfielders. What makes the feat even more unique is that all three runners on the back end of each DP were thrown out at the plate, something that has never happened before or since.
McCarthy's assists were crucial as the Cubs nipped the @pirates, 2-1.
