“Oh.. it’s okay,” he shrugged. “Well yeah he was bought because of … my father and having another around to protect Harley was a good idea. He’s well trained around children and the cutest thing.”

Loki breathed out through his nose slowly. Tony had been pining for a puppy for quite some time. Loki was very against it. "And if I were to say no to the request, the animal will be taken to a 'shelter,' as they are called?"

Loki ran one hand over his eyes, wondering if he would ever escape the possibility of there being a dog in his house. "A guard dog, you say?" The god lifted one brow, looking up at the other and then blinking a few times. "Excuse my silence earlier. Grey faces..." He grumbled the last two words.

Jack crossed his legs, not hearing any other hic-cups and grinned. "All better? Also, I wanted to ask you something."

Instead of speaking, Loki sweeps his hand in a circle motion, encouraging Jack to speak.

Jack sits back and watches to see if it will work, if it failed he would just have to give him a fright somehow, maybe bursting the bag that held the grapes when he was finished.

Loki keeps his mouth shut, his breath held inside, and glanced around the room. When there wasn't another spasm in his diaphragm, he released the air from his lungs and smiled slightly, but remembered not to say a thing.

"No paper bag?" He sighed and grinned "I think that's one of the few times I've seen you laugh. There's another thing they made me do is you drink a glass of water upside down but that just gets you wet. Have you tried holding your breath until they are gone?"

Loki blinks at the other, but doesn't speak. Instead, he throws caution to the wind and takes a deep breath, holding it in, keeping his chest expanded.

"Hmmm sounds good to me, besides hiccups can get painful, I remember I had them for ages and it hurt and then Bobby burst a paper bag behind my head to scare them out of me and it worked," he grinned before chewing his cheek. "Have you got a paper bag?"

Loki paused while eating a grape and looked at the other, a mixture of confusion and blatant shock on his face. "I've no paper bag," He says before laughing slightly. "Your Midgardian remedies continue to amuse and bemuse me."

Precisley, see grapes for the smurf. [grins and hands you a bag] See? Never doubt a Mercer.

Loki smiles and takes the bag, pulling if open and popping one in his mouth. "I shall keep that in mind, Crackerjack." He chews slowly and then looks back at the other. "For the sake of not maiming myself, shall we stick with nicknames for the next few hours?"
